38 degrees forecast for the weekend, hopefully weather doesnt stop a potentially good final going ahead, wouldnt mind going and having a look at the game, should be a beauty.
Yesterdays results have closed up the relegation race, GV winning 2 in a row has them right back level. Still think South and Central are the two favourites to go down, big Gawler derby this coming game. Nuri still not safe either from being drawn into the battle. Freeling, Ango and Sandy all safely into finals, Kapunda should do enough to hold onto 4th but a loss to Sandy this week could leave them in danger of missing.
Think most people would be more than happy for either Gawler sides to go down

On another note Freeling V Ango in the One day final for 3rd yeR in a row ... Should be a cracker, freeling have wood over Ango at moment, but anyone's game.

Reports that Hannun did a calf today, opens the door, gives Ango a chance as i reckon he averages about 350 against them.

have u seen the size of his calves? He'll be playing.

With Raed's grand final match fees on the line this weekend I reckon he'd roll out in a wheelchair.

Be a cheap weekend for the Freeling If he was to miss though.

Top side I think wins the one day final. Is it going to be that hot on Saturday??

38 on Saturday.
At this stage a couple of degrees cooler on Sunday so should be no dramas

40 at Elizabeth
37 at Nuri for saturday.

How many games are played at Elizabeth?
This is the Freeling (Ashley Read) rule, where is he now?

Pardon my ignorance and this may be a dumb question but why does a predominantly Barossa based comp take its temperature from Elizabeth and not Nuriootpa?

Yeah but last year people were happy with 38 Elizabeth and 42 Roseworthy, its a no win situation

It was driven by a guy at Freeling who always complained about the temp at Roseworthy being a few more degrees than the Barossa. Often Roseworthy would be say 42 whilst Nuri was 39 for example. I guess Elizabeth was the compromise, often one or two degrees hotter than Nuri but not as hot as Roseworthy. Its never going to be the same across the whole comp with it stretching so far now.

Yes Norm11 Elizabeth is the forecast we go by

surely somewhere in the middle is better than arguably the coldest place in the association bar williamsstown and maybe angaston. gawler, freeling, kapunda, mallala, truro, eudunda, (morgan) would all be hotter than nuri on most summer days. and given elizabeth is on the plains and a much more accessible temperature than roseworthy, it seems fair enough to me.

The BOM only forecasts for Elizabeth, Nuri and Roseworthy so you are limited to those three forecasts.

Nuri is usually a few degrees lower than the other two so I can see why people went to Elizabeth. There was one game a few years ago where we were the only association that played as it was 40 almost everywhere else in the state bar Nuriootpa and it was certainly not less than 40 degrees at the Dog Track that day...

What do people think about changing the designated temperature from the TV news to the BOM website? They update their next day forecast at around 4pm each day and that is what is used by the TV news. Everyone has the internet these days and it saves waiting for the news....
