Rose Park and Adelaide Lutheran fighting for top spot currently, winner you would think we hold onto 1st position and get an easier semi final. Rose Park made 191 on a slow Lutheran ground, more runs to Cougar. Cant see Lutheran getting those runs.

North East Knights and Para Vista battling for a spot in the 4, a win for NEK would lock away 3rd spot I would suspect, they rolled PV for 133 so are in the box seat.

Enfield halve already lost to Fitzroy - are holding onto 4th spot through pure luck and results falling their way.. have lost 7/26 and 7/41 in the last two weeks.. don't deserve to play finals.

Div 2
Enfield are flying, scoring close to 300 the past two games, and have Seaton on the ropes.

Would think the top 4 is set, Enfield will likely face Seaton in the semi and Adel Lutheran will play Magill - only who will host will be decided I think.

Fitzroy have dropped the bundle and are scraping to the end of the season.

Div 3
Seaton pulling out means everyone plays finals, just a matter of who plays who. NEK in a strong position against Enfield in the battle for 2nd, posting over 200 on the weekend after being in a precarious position at 8/150ish.

Never2Late have only lost 47 wickets this season, and they're well ahead of Athelstone who they'll likely play in the Semi.

Div 4
Rose Park are making a late charge for the 4, after forfeiting earlier in the season and struggling for numbers, Troy Bills is single handedly taking this group to the finals. If they make the 4, they will win the flag.

Enfield sits top, they would be hoping to avoid Rose Park in the semi, although Adelaide Lutheran may claim top spot it's unlikely.

Fitzroy as mentioned in Div 2 have dropped the bundle, club is in struggle town and their C grade may find themselves on the outer by the end of the season as the unfortunate side to miss finals.

Big call to say the club is in struggle town. We field 3 sides the majority of the season. The last month with people going away and family reasons made it difficult to have consistent teams. Although our A grade cant make finals, we are still playing in good spirits and intensity. B Grade are the recipient of a lot of A Grade players out for the rest of the season due to the above issues. Still think our club is in a better position than most.

I meant performance wise kiddo ;)

Although your C grade has been having difficulties fielding a side in recent rounds..

Given your location and facilities, I would expect you're better positioned than most other clubs.

Well thats a fair call then. If we had a few key players (i.e A. Roling and M. Spry) available for the whole season, we may have given the top 4 a real good crack. which in turn would have helped the B Grade and the C Grade. But, a big recruitment drive is on the cards and hopefully we can pick up a few more A Grade quality players with some experience to help some of the young ones!

Hurts losing Phillips, Carmichael, Kelly - 3x young lads who would strengthen the A/B Grade.

Also if you could get a full season out of Noakes and Madigan that would help immensely.

Rose Park great unit, but I think that they do rely heavily on the bowling of Uern & Clarke to carry most of the work, after that Hendo and Raf are still handy without being super dangerous. Better suited to two day cricket rather than one day where they need to use 5 or 6 bowlers.

Rose Parks batting is obviously the strength, and if their batting fires well 9/10 it's game over.

Would be a Mozzie Lakes FC catch up of sorts

Dose any comp want to take Seaton CC away from this one?

Think end of year there will be a polite "thanks, but no thanks.. it's not working out, good luck for the future" given to Seaton..

Is the association strong enough to kick clubs out?

Seaton bring no value to the comp, and create more headaches than it's worth. Given the comps small nature, they're also now outside the majority demographic.. Everyone is within 10min drive.

Comp isn't exactly strong enough to lose them, but I think it could be covered.

Easier to kick them out I guess than to work out ways to improve on-field behaviour and to expand the club to 2-3 teams. Would perhaps be worth the effort though? They have an aligned footy club (with juniors?) so you think they would have players to draw on. Plus a nice ground with clubrooms.

At the same time on-field rubbish no doubt makes playing them an unpleasant experience for the 'core' clubs.
