tbh have no idea just that a mate told me some players were playing that didn't play last year, maybe new ones too. saw first hand how the b grade struggled last year, and did my best to keep my head down in the lower grades. to be fair constanzo and blondie although capable shouldn't need to be playing a grade at their ages/stages of career.

Doing good things is young Cam Mansueto - proud of that kid, he's worked hard over the past 18 months since taking the president role on!

I've had a few chats with him and he seems very clear on the path ahead and what needs to be done.

He's had to step right out of his comfort zone in the role as well which shows tremendous character. He's definitely passionate and committed to his club, hopefully he can have a bit of success out that way.

So committed is he, that he has just started building a house 5min from the club

I was offered drinks at the club and a room to stay in at his place Sat nights to come play this season - unfortunately for him the wife didn't like that idea

Zero chance of that, maybe a cameo I hear, he's too busy ferrying his kids around all weekend to their cricket along with his love of spending the Saturday afternoon in t he pub having a punt.

Yeah, you are right, pretty hard for a B Grade in Grade 2 to have anything to play for either, can't get promoted, they've done exceptionally well during their tenure in Grade 2, taken some good scalps along the away.

Yeah, he's been the catalyst behind it all, pretty handy having Clarko by his side to help him with the right decisions, Clarko is a legend of a man.

He'll probably rent it out anyway, he's on a pretty good wicket with the olds.

Eastern Park's application for re-entry into the PDCA Seniors competition was rejected by the clubs at last nights AGM.
Didn't appear to be a lot of love for Eastern Park in the room.

N.E Knights application got accepted.

These applications are accepted / rejected by a vote from the clubs, so no reasons need to be given by each club who voted to reject it.
There were a couple comments about whether they would be able to field a team at the end of the year due to football commitments, but not much else.
There was no one from EP Seniors there to respond to the comments which probably didn't help.
In recent years PDCA have been happy to accept clubs that are based further south, so to knock back a club that is in it's traditional area is a surprise.
