Fair call. Although its not over yet. I was a bit surprised when I got to the club and after selections I was told that the A grade picked blokes that were available for B grade finals if they made it. The A grade at Nth Pines had no chance of making finals and there B grade was sitting 3rd. I would have thought you let the B grade have selection of all the players that would be available for finals if they were to make it. I dont mean stack the B grade with A graders but let all the blokes who had qualified for B grade finals available for B grade selection. What are other peoples thoughts?

I'd agree to your line of thinking there, try settling a finals bound side, there would've been other players to fill a spot.I think 288 is more than enough as the Pines batting drops away significantly after the first four. I seen them play just after Christmas and to tell you the truth I'm a bit stunned that they got up to 3rd, got a couple of pretty handy players but have too many ball fee players.

Do you know your A's went?

Just got an update on the A grade. No scores though but was told Nth Pines need about 50 more runs for first innings points and are 4 wickets down.

I agree. I was amazed when I was told they were 3rd with the line ups I was looking at. 288 will be more than enough, almost enough for an outright. Riverside had one of the Harris boys play and he almost got a ton. The lads said he was hitting everything.

Adam Harris should be playing grade 1 or 2 as he's a classy bat

Any final scores?

Craigmore defeated OTH outright in grade 2. Also believe ATCO defeated East Pk in grade 2.

Pretty sure Craigmore defeated Smithfield outright in grade 3 but not confirmed, if true not a good way to finish minor round for Smithfield going into finals.

SW got the runs against Virginia 4 down....didn't lose a wicket today.

Packed up and left immediately.

I think both sides have something up their sleeve for next week.... They're trying to tell us Seccafein isn't bowling due to a bad knee...LOL, yeah, whatever.

That was 6-7 weeks ago...Missed a few games then. He's tip top now and bowling as well as he ever has.

central united 114, fenwick 31, Nuske 34, Hodder 29no, + 5 ducks didnt help... lost to angle vale 139 + 4/90. The end of a frustrating but very enjoyable season for us, our goal was to stay up and be competetive, i think we did both, very good to very bad on occasions, all a great experience for our young group, they will hopefully learn from this season, although we battled relegation, we felt if a couple of close results fell our way, we could have been playing finals, we seemed to play our better cricket against the higher teams and need to learn to bat 70 overs ...... something to work on next season... good luck to all the other teams who go again next week, we at central united will finish our season on monday when we stroll out onto adelaide oval and just enjoy the day :D :D :D ... 20/20 vs pooraka 9.30 am. and if anyone has tuesday off, come along to the hallowed turf again and support the PDCA u/21s 9am vs adel turf... ......

At half past 4 in the morning I wasn't doing any praying, it would be nice for Westies to do us a favour but at the end of the day we don't deserve to be up there, we need a pacey bowler and a solid opening batsman, at least we gave plenty of kids some Grade 1 experience.

If Andy got the 3 votes I'd have him one point ahead but then again, what would I know. Both have had outstanding all-round seasons and would be deserved winners.

Andy will prob only get 2. Richardson batted well last week and 70 odd in a score of 130 is good enough for the 3

Andy got 30 odd and 3 wickets, depends on which way the umpire see's it, you are right though IMO. Sometimes the name gets the right of way.

The problem Troy will face is that when he done well, other players done more, it would be good to see him up there, has been a solid contributor in both disciplines.

Your right about T. Scott, but i think he will be like the gary ablett of OTH, he is a stand out in a side that struggled and i think he would poll plenty of minor points, not too many maximums
