Fair call. Although its not over yet. I was a bit surprised when I got to the club and after selections I was told that the A grade picked blokes that were available for B grade finals if they made it. The A grade at Nth Pines had no chance of making finals and there B grade was sitting 3rd. I would have thought you let the B grade have selection of all the players that would be available for finals if they were to make it. I dont mean stack the B grade with A graders but let all the blokes who had qualified for B grade finals available for B grade selection. What are other peoples thoughts?
I'd agree to your line of thinking there, try settling a finals bound side, there would've been other players to fill a spot.I think 288 is more than enough as the Pines batting drops away significantly after the first four. I seen them play just after Christmas and to tell you the truth I'm a bit stunned that they got up to 3rd, got a couple of pretty handy players but have too many ball fee players.
Do you know your A's went?
Just got an update on the A grade. No scores though but was told Nth Pines need about 50 more runs for first innings points and are 4 wickets down.
I agree. I was amazed when I was told they were 3rd with the line ups I was looking at. 288 will be more than enough, almost enough for an outright. Riverside had one of the Harris boys play and he almost got a ton. The lads said he was hitting everything.
