I thought it was 250k? The idea to have the money invested in upgrading of facilities and junior programs as well?

The offer is $500k. In meetings with Clubs and SACA to get a merger happening, they were offering $1m. Think this is why Woodville have gone cold on the idea and told SACA that. SACA Board meeting tonight was supposed to be making the final decision.

Why should they get a leg up?

2 reasons. Firstly the SACA want a merger in preference to a club going, although it should not be West Torrens who get the flick EVER
Secondly. Adelaide Turf clubs who come from hard wicket are hardly pathways to the Sheffield Shield and Test arenas. The SACA will only spend this type of money for the best competition and best players in the state, to create pathways to higher levels.

Looking forward to the day this happens, think you will find Southern's may have had some lads who started on hard wicket in their local area who are now Premiership players. As you are all over the player pathway Oyster I am sure you know the contents of CA's Backyard to Baggy Green publication! SACA and ATCA also provided some financial assistance to TP's club for their move to turf, although not very much in terms of Preimer Cricket $$$ it is was got them over the line.

As we thought. SACA had already decided this before we went thru this whole process.
They have been extremely deceitful thru this whole saga.
Bradshaw's press release today is so full of crap, don't trust the bloke one little bit.
My prediction is our Women players will end up at Glenelg with their new teams, our Juniors will end up with Uni at West Beach, our Seniors will disperse to other Clubs or give up cricket.
Very sad day, but not unexpected!
