Bit of bad luck for PAOC in C3, we had to forfiet against them due to them not having juniors and us having to abide by the heat policy by not playing juniors, they didn't want a one day game. Karma it is a beautiful thing.

Interesting. In a similar situation in Round 4, Goodwood couldn't field their C3 team to play against Ingle Farm because of the heat policy, but Ingle Farm agreed to play a one dayer the second week. Second week ended up being washed out and the game wash a draw. Technically they could have claimed a forfeit, but that is hardly in the spirit of the game.

Yet the only game in C3 that was completed on day 2 of round 4 was PAOC v Para Hills when PAOC agreed to play on a wet deck after Para Hills got to bat on a road in 40C heat the week before. Had they refused to play PAOC would have finished top. Don't let your feelings of inadequacies get in the way of common sense.

hey rod bit touchy mate. nice use of a sub fielder on the weekend. was funny to see a 110kg guy who batted on the sat, stand outside the boundry with zinc painted on his face, whites on but did not field, instead a younger fitter and gun fielder take to the field, this guy prob saved 15 runs. maybe he should of batted for you guys aswell

After the watching some of the game on the weekend I have feelings of adequacy....Ingle Farm did win didn't they

Highlight of the game for me was the opening bowler who thought he was the second coming of jesus, sporting 12 earings, a headband...just needed the sleeve, bowls a pretty woeful 'bouncer' and gets absolutely carted to the fence and decides to lip up with something like 'YOUR THE ******* WORST BATSMAN IVE EVER SEEN'. This guy wasn't the worst bowler, but bowled pretty poor areas and didn't really threaten at all after his first spell.

Other great moments include:

[*]#3 batsmen's humour, highlighted by perpetually shouting 'YES'. Confused his own teammates more than anything.
[*]Same said player calling PAOC player a cheater - definitely angels when it comes to this 'spirit of the game' stuff.

That said, there were a lot of good guys in the Ingle Farm side, just a few floggers who let them down.

I'm surprised you didn't include that other great moment......when the PAOC skipper refused the shake the umpires hand at the end of the game.

Yep, Ingle Farm did win. Congratulations to them. The better side by a fair margin over the weekend no doubt. Good luck next week.

And his bouncer did cause your blokes a couple of anxious moments early on..

Yes, he has a lot to learn, but given he is a young kid with a bit of grunt, there is plenty to work with..
First lesson to learn is that next time he experiences a bloke backing away from the crease repeatedly, when he is half way through his run up, is to continue through the crease and follow the tosser..
If he does not pin him then, then pin him next ball and the ball after..

Unley have an Umpire for our C3 side and PAOC told him he was not to umpire this year against them (PAOC captain was given out LBW last year). Gee our boys always say he is unfair on us, whats everyone elses thoughts on our ump?

Fair suck of the sav PAOC, I think it is great that he gives up his Saturday arvo's to stay involved and when I played against your C3 side he did a good job. No matter where you go you are always going to find an umpire with an affiliation to a club. We all make mistakes as players, no different for an umpire if they make one.

Who selects the ATCA team of the year?? Not taking anything away from those who were selected in the side as all are no doubt worthy of their selection but I find it hard to see how a player like Luke Harrington can be over looked for such selection after scoring nearly 650 runs for the year & taking nearly 20 wickets.

No doubt a difficult task each year for whoever selects it..
What i will say though is that if stats stack up similarly between an A1 and an A2 player then surely the A1 player should be selected..?
Only my opinion...
