With both applications not getting up I wonder if the SACA had any influence.

Maybe they will have to put Plan B in place RTTT

I wonder what there plan B is? would they stay or would they apply for the asca?

The question is are the Shoes in a financial position to do this?? Will the subsequent increase in fees put people off from playing in ATCA, travel to Gepps Cross, Pooraka etc, all needs to be considered.

Bazza not quite sure how close to the action you are at RCC but I can guarantee they were in a very sound financial postion when they switched to turf otherwise they would not have proceeded and this was one of the deciding factors in going to turf.

Yeah, I f*cked up that comment didn't I...

What I meant to say was: Didn't you guys have trouble at one stage paying your curator?...

Never had any trouble with paying the bills Bazza even though the treasurer has a tight hold on the finances.

With any luck now ---- business as usual with the SCA
one clear note of warning though ---- find more sides. The next bullet might get us.

Business as usual in SCA...? The SCA staying the way it is will be more damaging for cricket than if it folds... Last season was a joke numerous players had little to no interest for the majority of the season and it was a struggle to turn up everyweek, dont get me wrong i love playing cricket on a saturday but the standard of the competition is a shadow of its former self,

The problem is that what team would want to join our comp? No club in surrounding areas would leave their respective comp to play in the SCA... How would it benifit them?

Even if another club wanted to join its not just lack of teams that is the problem, the standard of the current sides is of very poor quality, im not having a go at any players in particular as there are some very talented cricketers in the SCA but the standard as a whole is below average...

firstly hound, cockledivers are footy with blue and white colours. 8) 2nd, it's disappointing the club didn't get the vote. I'm not sure why it didn't get thru but it would've bettered the gsca as a comp. I said to zac 10 years ago to look at a merge between sca and gsca. Gsca was light on numbers then and as far as i was concerned the writing was on the wall with the sca. I got told it was a stupid idea, not zac's fault he didn't look into it as it would never of got up. It's well documented here that a former pres of the sca has a lot to answer for. Do a search. He cost the sca a few clubs. Bag the points- no business as usual i'm sorry. The players are fed up with the situation and many just won't bother playing anymore. If change doesn't happen soon it could kill playing stocks of some clubs irreparably. No new clubs will join as good presidents like bilney and jolly have tried and tried and all that happens is we still go backwards.

Boy have I hit some raw nerves here !
All my post was about was a warning to the sca it needs to make sure it uses the bit of unexpected extra time its been given.
If we've got a competition with problems fix it !

btp your right on the money with your post.reynella could see the writing on the wall 10 years ago hence their move to turf cricket imho.

the sca used to be a great comp in the 90's i thought.i dont really know what went wrong to be honest.
