We have some very good talent coming through with a few young guns so just have to see if our batting and bowling is really lacking.

what news do u have of craigmores recruiting activity??? i heard u might have picked up players but yet to hear who

There is no divisions or big disagreements im pretty confident most players will be back next season.

I will back Papas up here.. there is no division or big disagreements. Not everyone is going to like everything that happens at a club but that is not necessarily why people leave. Sometimes it just comes down to things like work committments, lifestyle changes etc.

I have heard names mentioned about Craigmore's recruiting and if they are true I would certainly expect them to be in Div 1 after this coming year. Gav and Rob, I would put my house on them staying and with the new boys they will be extremely strong.

wud be interesting to see them get back into div 1. im sure howe and elliott would love to be playin where they belong. good enough players to be at that level. and catchit im sure wud relish the chance to take papas apart. sorry papas... but my money would certainly be on catchit comin out on top in that exchange. Craigmore will certainly have to be stronger than they were 2 or 3 years ago to survive, let alone make an impact on div 1. short of quality batsmen beyond howe and elliott and a few bowlers short.

so catchit is it just urself goin to RC. or are we goin to see a few others follow?[/quote]

def talking to a few and welcome any others that want to come and play for the love of the game, all people being spoken to love to play for one thing... sals west...

sals west pretty much have it in the bag i would say.. just adding oz is like adding 4 to 5 players, so i really think the only way they could lose it is if they get to confident and come up against a underdog like rose and crown ;)

Any predictions for the up and coming Grade One season. Any one rate Smithfield or Parafield Gardens chances coming up from Grade two. i guess it would be a big step for two sides whom havent seen grade one cricket for sometime if at all.

im thinking probably salisbury west wud start as favourites. but teams like Rosies and OTH have shown they have got some serious talent. and with Rosies havin picked up stama and possibly a couple others... and talk around the traps of OTH picking up Paul Cree and Matt Rogers, theres good improvements there. Lodge can be dangerous, with Sibbick and Browney they have a couple of top players. Virginia have 2 quality heads too... so i think theres ur top 5 possibly. i think the title is Salisbury wests, but Rosies and OTH a fair possibly upset. dont rate smithfield and parafield gardens chances of makin finals. i think it was be a 3 way fight between them and angle vale for survival in grade 1. unless there is some teams that find some real players... u never know

Smithfield are ones to be weary of they have some very talented batters who can punish bowlers. One big name being Raad very good quality batter and bowler for them.

Raed is a very Dangerous player and could be a darky for some top grade 1 bowlers to handle. has great skills with bat and ball, and has a leadership on field also. i think smithfield could push finals, but consistantcy is the key. if our batsman and bowlers can week in week out put in performances there talents are capable of, then upsets are not out of the picture

But there are good sides with good players in grade one, so it will defintley be a challenge in 2010/11, but am really looking foward to it.

I think The Lodge could well struggle especially if what I heard is true that the great man is having an op after footy season and wont be back till the new year

I can tell you next year Parafield Gardens will have an impressive but green young bowler. Much like a Mick Feltus or a Jimmy, got some height and some pace to burn and with guidance in the right direction i reckon he will go far to helping the Gardens in Div 1 next year. Still cant see them making the finals but should stay out of relegation
