Much like a Mick Feltus or a Jimmy, got some height and some pace to burn and with guidance in the right direction i reckon he will go far to helping the Gardens in Div 1 next year. Still cant see them making the finals but should stay out of relegation

Where's the green one from??

Smithfield need an opening batsman and a genuine pace bowler, Bateson bowled with some good wheels last season at times, especially late in the season. They need to retain their current squad and continue to develop their youth, a 16 year old held their innings together in both finals last season top scoring on both occaisons, he now has two seasons of A grade batting behind him now in the top order.
I'd expect Chris Knapp to continue his natural progress and be knocking on the door for a permanent A Grade spot, he is tall and filling out nicely and gains pace each season. He played a few A Grade games last season and won their B Grade bowling trophy, not bad going for a 15 year old.
Alex Tuckwell is another one ready to take the next step, another 16 year old who already has a Grade 2 premiership medallion to his name, has exceptional all-round ability.
Throw in a full season from Damian Newman and a return for Craig Hodge and that should give them around 17 players to choose from that should be playing A Grade.
Hard to judge this far out on how they'll go, we'll see when the commitments are made.

My comments earlier had other issues nothing that matters anymore and looking forward to this next season.

ok something new... it will be a real shame nto to play against you again, as i see it i have a couple of years left in me and with your ability leading the A grade you will be in the lower grades for a while yet.. hope ya prove me wrong ;) i really do...

A lot of boundaries coming up then, as your mobility up and down the steps at the pub the other week was concerning...

Grade 1....

To be honest I think its a 3 horse race between Westies, R&C and OTH.

OTH would be very confident in my opinion.... 8)

sals west pretty much have it in the bag i would say.. just adding oz is like adding 4 to 5 players, so i really think the only way they could lose it is if they get to confident and come up against a underdog like rose and crown ;)

Yep....he's put on some kilos thats for sure !

im thinking probably salisbury west wud start as favourites. but teams like Rosies and OTH have shown they have got some serious talent. and with Rosies havin picked up stama and possibly a couple others... and talk around the traps of OTH picking up Paul Cree and Matt Rogers, theres good improvements there. Lodge can be dangerous, with Sibbick and Browney they have a couple of top players. Virginia have 2 quality heads too... so i think theres ur top 5 possibly. i think the title is Salisbury wests, but Rosies and OTH a fair possibly upset. dont rate smithfield and parafield gardens chances of makin finals. i think it was be a 3 way fight between them and angle vale for survival in grade 1. unless there is some teams that find some real players... u never know

settle down mate, geeze, i may have recruited paul cree but Matt Rogers is a 0% chance of playing at oth next season
