Sorry mate, I can't say that, it will give away where the players we should be picking up are from. They think we don't know he's leaving.

happy it stayed 8 team grades , was not happy with playing 7 one dayers and 7 two dayers

That would be nice, we beat ATCO both times last year so you would think that were a chance, Central United are a pretty decent team though, it should've been us or them to go up this year, ATCO were lucky that they played Central District in round 1 when they had minimal players and chalked up an outright and got to play Playford when they had a couple of good players out later in the year.

i actually think sals west or sandy creek, two wells will depend on who stays or goes as they have a zero junior program to assist. i see you have some knowledge of two wells do you think they will survive past this year or will their imports move on and leave valente and welland with egg on their face.

Thats a fair question...

That core of players they have will slowly but surely dispurse. Ben will retire sooner rather than later and once he's gone its good night Two Wells.

Zero junior program doesnt help. I use to play at Two Wells before Sandy. Dont want to air my thoughts about Two Wells on here.

Only a select few get paid in our Barossa and Light comp up here, but if players can get a small incentive they might as well take it. Sport is becoming a job these days with the time it takes up and costs of driving to and fro, cricket gear, shoes, shirts, ball fees and also cricket bats.
Different for players in town they travel longer distances and would also be required to train two maybe three nights a week along with taking up a whole saturday if not sundays.
Cricket is losing players, If you think about it, some players can now earn time and a half- double time for working a whole saturday at their job. The only way cricket can keep getting players involved is with having more 20twenty games (which dont take up as much time) and offering player incentives.
Most grade 1 clubs in Para Districts would offer incentives. In our football comp. there is plenty (too many) of player incentives and football doesnt cost as much to play as cricket and take up as much time. So thats one of the reasons why we never see football struggling for participation and playing numbers.
