Should be some interesting battles to take place after the break as there are a few sides battling for that 3rd and 4th position. Meningie, Mypo, Karoonda, Mannum and Wanderers are all in finals contention for those spots. Monarto and Imps should finish 1 and 2 but not shaw who will finish in what order. With Mannum not getting an outright result against Jervois this may hurt their chances so they will have to be like Imps and try to get an outright against Meningie in the last game of the season before finals. Any comments

Was asked but made himself unavaliable i think. Played very well on the weekend. Not without chances but you always need a bit of luck to get to three figures, just ask Punter

Pretty Sure that is a mistake, this is the bowling figures off the web site and if correct there was 16 wickets taken

C Knight 6 4 0 6
E Koch 4 0 2 13
A Keough 4 1 1 3
R Zadow 4 1 1 18
S Huxtable 4 1 1 5
R Paech 5 1 0 9
C Koch 4 1 0 10
T Berling 3 0 0 8
L Hocking 3 1 9 7
B Kerr 2 0 1 8
T Schulz 1 0 0 7

That would make more sense. Ah well gets his name on the front page of mycricket for a while.

And only 7 wickets were lost in the scorecard.

An issue there that needs to be looked at I would imagine....

The top two positions are well and truly sewn up - just a matter of in which order. Could come down the the second to last game when Monarto and Imps play. Karoonda should finish third but 4th place is a lottery at the moment between Mannum, Wanderers and Mypo. I really can't believe Mannum are up there they have played some terrible cricket this year. I think Mypo might get 4th spot. But I do think that Imps and Monarto are a fair way ahead of everyone at the moment.

The good thing about imps is that they were without the services of Shaun Golding, Jared Thoman and Clay Leckie on the weekend and still managed to bowl Jervois out for 50 odd. I think Tyson Wait will be a huge inclusion come the second half of the year, especially if Luke Harrowfield misses the next few weeks.

imps are definetely the side to beat! the key with imperials is they can only make 120 and stil defend it reasonably comfortably! monarto i see as vunerable....karoonda should finish third being the main danger to imps and mypo will round out the four as they generally play good cricket when it counts....

gday all, heres the MTCA ladder with 2 games remaining:

1 Murray Bridge Imperials 12 2 7 1 2 0 99 1780 124 1293 167.60
2 Monarto 12 1 7 1 3 0 86 1936 119 1541 143.16
3 Mypolonga 12 1 5 1 5 0 75 1606 110 1501 118.06
4 Karoonda 12 0 7 1 4 0 92 1816 103 1465 113.76
5 Wanderers 12 1 4 1 6 0 101 1699 102 1745 107.39
6 Mannum 12 0 5 1 6 0 100 1657 102 2147 91.97
7 Meningie 12 0 4 1 5 2 117 1654 93 1782 80.14
8 Jervois 12 0 0 1 8 3 150 1458 67 2132 32.98

In my opinion it will be a very tight finish to the season! Whilst Imps will play finals cricket it remains quite open for spots 2 to 4! Monarto play Imps and Mypo, Mypo play Mannum and Monarto, Karoonda play Wanderes and Jervois, Wanderes play Karoonda and Imps! Mannum are a silly chance of 4th and play Mypo and Meningie!

Whats your predictions? Mine is Imps to play Monarto and Mypo to play Karoonda in first week of finals!

It is getting very interesting especially with both Imps and Monarto losing on the weekend. It is an interesting game this week with Imps playing Monarto. Imps should get Harrowfield back this week making them a very strong side and if they win guaranteed top spot. Monarto if they lose fall back to the pack a little and two very good sides in Karoonda and Mypo will probably go ahead of them.

I see it the same Imps v Monarto and Karoonda v Mypo the first week with an Imps v Karoonda Grand Final I reckon.

Yep good knock, but overshadowed by a massive score of 180 by Brenton Schulz from Jervois, put them in with a chance of winning their first game for over 2 years....

Well Brenton's score may have been overshadowed by Stewie and Boso. 288no run stand to chase down a massive total. Agreed not against the best bowling attack but a mighty fine effort.
