Is that stuck-down matting, I bet the ball turns to shit in no time with all that concrete around the pitch.

Yes it is. Pirie has three pitches like this (Globe Oval as pictured, and two more at the Senate Road Complex) and two turf pitches (Port Oval and Memorial Oval). Games are shared amongst them.

Ball does get hacked up a bit on the concrete at times at Globe Oval and Senate Road complex . Was worse on the weekend for our first game (at Globe) cos the pitch was so wet as well. Our ball was ****** pretty much.
