When did 7K become the budget for BLCA teams :)

It hasn't - Days is stirring the pot with his usual dose of bullshit.

Reckon days needs to be more concerned with whats happening in his own back yard at sandy cc than how much centrals are overpaying their star underperforming recruit.... :D

I like it, nailing 2 guys from 2 different clubs in one sentence, good work Jab

Anyone want to have a crack at the ladder?

1. Gilbert Valley, can't see anyone improving enough to beat them
2. Gawler Central$, Have retained last years list and budget, will be too good for the rest
3. Kapunda, only because they will be similar to last year and other teams appear weaker
4. Freeling, from A1 Ressies straight to the finals will be a big step but a few additions to their side will see them more than capable.

5. Sandy Creek, similar side to last year, no real losses and may have added one or two new players.
6. Angaston, Blenkiron not to keen at this stage and B.Woodards not bowling leaves a massive hole, still have suspect batting line up.
7. Nuri, Ageing list, dont know if anyone has moved into the town or not, a very average batting line up and bowlers not getting any younger
8. Light Pass, new coach same results

Would not surprise if any of the bottom 4 are relegated.

Ladder:

Gilbert Valley
Gawler Central
Kapunda
Angaston

Freeling
Nuriootpa
Sandy Creek
Light Pass

I agree with you days that Freeling will be the smokey this year. I have played a fair bit of cricket against Hannun (their new recruit) and he will add a hell of a lot to that side. Will be an interesting year all round and i hope we stay out of relegation this year.

Premiers: Gilbert Valley
One Day: Kapunda
Mosey: Sam Ryan

It would be great to see him and big Willy make light work of opening batsman around the comp.
He doesnt come cheap though, how much extra cash would we expect to generate from a premiership?

I reckon it would have to be worth enough to see us hang on to some of our players the following year...

Rumuor has it that a couple of the A graders are now only working part-time as they are earning so much from cricket and they dont want to go into the next tax bracket. Aaron King has also begun discsussions with a player agent to make sure he gets the best deal.

Its a big new professional world in the BLG with all the money we are splashing around.

or maybe not....

So did the 7k buy his services?
Fracka must be playing for the love of the club if they can throw this sort of cash around. Either that or he's on performance based payments ;)

Salisbury West doubled their offer so he's staying. ;)

Was never leaving.

Shocking news came to hand today, I have missed all the news lately and only just caught up.

I hear the famed Smokers 11 has lost its Captain B.Fuller due to him moving to PDCA.

Who will step in to fill these very big shoes of probably the most important job in world cricket?

I did hear B.Burgess was devastated to be overlooked for the role that went to Fuller and is very keen to land the job this time ;)

Will also be on the look out for additions to the squad, I am hearing Hartigan and Hogan have hung up the whites

Some big shoes to fill there. I'm sure there is plenty at Angaston that could slot straight in.
Fuller has gone on to coaching these days not playing as his knee is ******.

Light pass knocked off sandy creek.

Would have been interesting to see given both sides had clearances in for the same player mid week.

Good game of cricket at redleg park today. Congrats to Freeling and no disrespect to them but they were pretty much at full strength, while Ango were missing their entire bowling department apart from Brett Burgess. No Woodards, Blenkiron, Klemm, Byster and then throw in Miles as all first up selected players. Ango will go away with some confidence by nearly chasing down 185 with the side they had.

What were the final scores Tim, did Waterhouse perform well for you guys. Certainly bowled ok at training on Tuesday night at Sandy Creek. Guess we will have to give his uniform to someone else ;)
