Disrespect? How come the premiers are never picked to win in the paper? How come clubs purely vote against double up rules just to hope we can't put a side on the park. But yeah we whinge because we want to play. You clearly were not at the game so you don't know what happened. So you really cant comment. I just love how umpires sit with the opposing team and make decisions without even consulting the other team. The constitution said you can leave it till an hour and a half to start play. That didn't happen this morning. Yep we will sling shit with our premiership medals.

Yeah we might be bigmouth clowns but why is it every time we open our mouths, the wickets start to tumble?

Your worried about selections in the paper? Bloody hell i feel soooo sorry if you get upset about who the paper picks. maybe you should ask the person who does it to start selecting you. you need to harden up a bit princess. The umpires probably sit with opposing teams cos ys talk shit and are a bunch of hypocrites. The UMPIRES are there to make a DECISION FULL STOP. I will have to have a look at the consitution and see what it says but im not sure it is an hour and a half? It used to be an hour i know that. Can anyone else verify if the constitution says an hour and a half? The constitution has been broken many times this year im lead to beleive so has your club piped up and said anything about that or have you just whimpered away like cowards and let it go? Now you all of a sudden care because it may concern your club? You know what i say WELL WHO GIVES A FLYING please don't avoid the swear filter?! I agree with you though LBH no one knows whats going on, so where are the members of the association? They should be out there on days like this to make decisions. Either everyone plays or no one plays. There would be no complaining then.

However, I still think that teams should at least look interested in playing.

Members of the assoc i dont know where they are, yes i agree they should be out there. I think its hard to get interested in playing when you know the ground/pitch is not in a state you could play on. I do agree with your point of everyone plays or no-one does though as at least it would be fair for every one.

fair enough so did the ump make the call when the hour struck or did he think it was to wet straight away? well when the costitution was being blatantly broken did your club/delegate speak up and tell the exec that it was out of line and shouldnt be happening?

No one rates us is all i'm saying. Yes we are hypocrites and wankers etc but you haven't even seen one game this season. Come sit with us and find that we are normal people (majority are). I would comment on your last bit but since I haven't a copy of the constitution I don't know what has been broken.

well ask your delegate maybe he can help you out then? He should even be able to tell you what has been broken! i know our delegate has been very good with reporting the FACTS about what has been going on and i have no reason not to beleive him as a couple of serious issues has involved our club. I will let you find out then you can report back here and tell us all.

I don't think our delegate has a copy of the constitution. What is the cost for a copy, who does one obtain a copy from, is anyone allowed to obtain it, can anyone use information from it?

What are the remedies for breaches of the constitution?

I think our delegate falls asleep listening to 3 hours of Port oval sooking.

No I think you can tell us the issues to prove you aren't full of it.

Now i dont know what holly said at the clubrooms friday night but why dont you go ask him? Im guessing he may have been having a joke with cornflour or somebody like that. The B grade umpire obviously made the wrong decision last week or did he make the correct one and the A grade umpire make the incorrect 1? I dont know. As for Pirie west i also dont know but im sure your club would be aware of what is available if things like this happen? The question was asked earlier but none have you have answered was there a member of the ppca exec at the ground at all today or last week and what did they have to say? I also note the A grade game went to complex 1 but also deemed it to wet so i would say the correct call was made this morning or was the A grade umpire wrong? you tell us knowall.

whatever you risdon clown, you wont win anything

Two rounds in and letsbeonest's prediction is already wrong.
After many many years of dominance by Props, the Fuchs / Tiller Shield was won today by Risdon.

How was golf this morning straight talker?

Great win by Risdon this afternoon, beating last years premiers in a thrilling finish. Great for the club to win the shield for the first time in many many years. Was good to see some cricket played in good spirit.

An interesting round of cricket indeed this weekend.

Risdon confirmed their status as legitimate contenders for the A grade this year, with an impressive victory over props and a few guns (i didnt see guys like twiggy and hutchy play) to come back in. It was good to witness the thrilling finish and despite 2 VERY bad LBW calls risdon showed great character.

On the B-grade front great to see the teams who defied the conditions and made cricket the true winner. Hats off to Props, strykers, warnertown and germein for doing what many want to do and play cricket. Im dissapointed with Sollies and risdon not being able to play the grandfinal re-match. From my understanding risdon were keen, after playing in worse conditions the week before, and im dissapointed sollies were more worried about getting points and not enjoying a game of cricket. If props and strykers can play in the exact same conditions on the only 50 metres away it ca only have been a tactical decision not to play. well done to the umpires of both games that played in making cricket the winner.

Im sad to say ive been equally as dissapointed with south-port A grade in their lack of intent to test themselves against the other team, no disrespect to sollies but if were were playing them instead of props last week they would have played.

Bearded wonder this is my only account. I dot feel the need to justify this to you as i know for a fact there are at least half a dozen other users i know of and so really you have no idea whats going on. I will not resort to childish and adolescent name-calling and simply say i speak my opinions. Firstly i have had the privilage of playing at port oval since junior days and believe it is a fantastic ground for cricket and i would gladly play there every single week. Secondly By ports do you mean wandies or the football team as i have no Aussie rules aligment in pirie. If you mean wandies, i dont hate them at all just share a great rivalry. Thirdly i dont hate south-port, the comp would be better if they were more willing to play and become a stronger side.
Next i have better thing to do with my time than create "7-9" accounts, i just happen to share the same ideas as previous posts and wish to share them. How about you get your facts straight before you decide to make derogatory remarks and post something intellegent prefferably about cricket

Looks like sledging isn't just restricted to the on-field.

Risdon A grade making people sit up and take notice. Hopefully they'll prove last year was no fluke.

Agree, good win by Risdon and they will be very competative if they can field teams with their better class players in A Grade most games. Any news on the Nyrstar sponsorship, if that is only about balls and playing at port Oval how is a one year deal going to solve any issues? Any starters being reported for the vacant secretaries position? Who sponsored the balls at Port Oval for yesterdays game?
