Yeah it was his debut, not a bad way to start! Sharing a 260 run partnership with Cosgrove you can only imagine would have added 10 games of experience to the young fella.

Notice Ludeman had a bowl as well!

Pop quiz... who was the last player to make a hundred in their A Grade debut?

Buggered if I know

NFI.....

Closest at Adelaide that I know of is only a 60 odd on debut.....that was last season!

Looks like just one game got away today? Good win to East Torrens over TTG. Anytime you chase over 250 that's a great effort. James Miller 80 odd not out. Handy player and a jet fielder but perhaps his first really significant contribution with the bat in A Grade? Coming of age innings maybe.

Aaaaand it's pissing down again. What ridiculous weather we've had. One rare weekend when all the state guys are available too.

Interesting rule that the four games that had no play on Saturday all teams got 10 points. But Uni and Southerns played 14 overs and both teams only get 5 points. Could be costly at the end of the season as will no doubt be close for finals like last year.

Somehow I don't think that is really fair, and discourages you from actually trying to get some cricket in (reckon we could have got some cricket in at Glandore later in the day but was not worth risking five points if no result was possible).

One day game between Northerns and SACA 19's called off today also. And more rain predicted for weekend! Some teams be affected by Second X1 match in QLD, Adelaide be without Valente, Raphael and Cormack gives Prospect great chance to beat them.

Bowlers won't be able to bowl though, so no Valente bowling in this match.

Twenty20's on tomorrow night! Always enjoy the Tuesday night games. Means the whole club can watch the A Grade which doesn’t happen often. Doesn't look like any rain around but hopefully it isn't too overcast. Can get tough for the team batting second in mid-November.

Impossible batting second, too dark and quite dangerous. Need to start by 4.45 but hard for people coming from work.

Do they alternate bowling ends per over as per normal or do they bowl in 5 over blocks for one end?

Alternate

Blocks of 5 overs would be a good idea. Last year all the games were in December so the light was a bit better. November is a bit early for twilight games.

Yeah, it cuts down shitloads of time, like you said, December generally isn't an issue, I remember seeing parts of a couple of games at Argana Park last year and thought it's going to tough after 7:30pm.

That will be huge game, very important. Teams affected by Second X1 game in QLD and Shield match, Port without Benton bowling and Ludeman on the Sunday makes a big difference, lean towards Bays. Glenelg's bowling a bit weak, Botha no longer playing either apparently.

Big round of matches, some teams with few points so far really need to win as getting points before Xmas is so important.
