The Ango boys are probably still on the road trip back from Saddleworth!!!

Sorry guys, I haven't put up a weekly run down on the game as Saddleworth was a little too far for me to travel in 30 odd degrees, a) the car probably would have overheated half way there, b) thought the boys should beat GV easily and the real reason C) the bride wanted to spend time as a family and go out for the day, I said to her lets go for a drive to Saddleworth but only got a glare back, hence why I didn't get up there.
However, I saw kocho last night in the supermarket and I nearly fell over as it was in the Fruit and Vegie aisle but to be honest I think he was only passing through as it was the shortest route to the chips and lollie aisle. He told me the ango boys won comfortably, batted first and piled on 235 with young Nick Pech continueing his good form with 65 which is good to see a young player standing up finally. A few 30 odds from old man doecke and brett woodards then plenty of bits and pieces to reach the total, he wouldn't tell me what he made but I did see that he had duck on his shopping list :D. Apparently Kocho was saying that the boys were 4/70 odd just after drinks so good effort in the end by the middle and lower order to reach 235. He commented and said that the Bowling was a little boring with one of the Bulls openers thinking it was a 5 day test match and carried his bat through the whole innings for 50no. GV ended up with 160ish and Simon wasn't shy in telling me he was the pick of the bowlers with 2/15 of 8 overs.
Definately will be heading up to panther park this week where ango will take on the yip ya's in another must win game to continue the good form and stay top of the 1 day comp but also to build the gap between us and the other teams below us in the overall comp.

This can't be a scene of where Kocho has 'locusted' his way through a Supermarket,
if you look behind the lady about 3m the soft-drink aisle is still heavily stocked, especially with Coke.
Surely he would've decimated that area before the bread section.
Is extremely humorous but poorly researched.

Us Ango types have made the mistake of getting excited early on the football forum and then
disappearing early in finals, we are hoping to avoid the same thing in cricket-season.
On our day we are as good as anyone but will it be our day?
as always there are some mental obstacles with our blokes that have to be hurdled to claim the prize.
We are looking as good as anyone at the moment though.

I forgot the tips last week, i been very busy over the break but im back now ready surge up the tipping table just as the tigers surge up the ladder in both comps.
May be a bit far back to make the 2 day finals but destiny is in our own hands for the one day comp. We face Nuri, Tanunda and Angaston, win all 3 and we will make it, tough ask but with match winners like Stocky and Kingy we have more than enough fire power to knock over these teams.
Look out!! WE ARE COMING

Sandy Creek
Angaston

Congrats to Kingy! Interseting to se there had been 6 hundreds in the A! Ressies with 4 of them coming against Truro and the other 2 on the end of the Eudunda attack. Must be some quality bowling up that way. Just ask Fairey (Truro) about his over on Saturday!!!

I have just posted a comment on the PDCA forum suggesting a charity day to be organised between clubs to try and raise money to be given to the Queensland flood relief and/or red cross to aid Queenslanders in this time of need. If ANYONE is interested in helping organise a day to raise money for our fellow Australians please PM me. If you can offer an oval for the day??? maybe your company is willing to sponsor the day by covering the licenses and insurances that will be required for the day to go ahead? ALL help would be much appreciated by myself and of course by all of those people who are in need of ANY help we can offer.

With so many big amateur sporting clubs (especially out North) it would be an absolute shame if we all sat back and did nothing!!

I guess if anything was going to be done an BLCA invitational 20x20 match (or 20x20 double header) with a bit of local press coverage, BBQs and bar.

Either pick two sides, or ask each club to supply a couple players.... under lights would be cool but cant see it working.

Under lights is tough, during the dusk period its hard to see the ball at all.
A later start on a Sunday like 3-ish would draw a crowd maybe.

Could also be a Gawler/Sandy Creek/Light Vs Barossa game,
would make a couple of even-ish sides.

Your right about lights just not cutting it.

If the local papers did a story on it, gold coin donation, and charity buckets going around etc it could prove to be a bit of fun and a good cause.

SAfooty invitational v rest of BLCA :)

There is a 20 20 comp coming up , wouldn't that be a perfect opportunity?
