Hopefully this format will prove to be better and we will have a strong side on the park for the week. Dissapointing though cause i was one of the ones that got the phone call and had a ball playing cricket with a different bunch of blokes. Doesnt look like that will happen this year though

the country carnival is the best week on the cricketing calender. i like the idea of the younger squads, but in saying that, there should always be a spot for experience in any side. Im hoping to see a fair few names from those teams make themselves available for the carnival, along with a couple of good young guns from clare and burra way. Go you Middies!!!!

Smasher, fairly new to the site I take it. 90% of the posters on this site know who I am and I can assure you that I am not Brett Burgess if that is who you think I am. Just thought that the leading wicket taker of the comp and coming of a 5 and 6 wicket hauls may have been given the nod, obviously selectors got it right in the end. I would go into bat for any Angaston player if they were having a good year.

By the way, how many of the star recruits from GC made it.

There was also some players unavailable this sunday and the game isnt compulsory like assoc cricket.
Birchmore, Fracowski, Crothers are a few that i know that were unavailable.

I think 18 of the 20 have made themselves available for the mid north team.

The remaining 2-4 spots for this weeks game will be filled by players from our zone further north. Maybe Boh Wall is the keeper in the 1st side not 100% on that though

Not sure who these 'most reliable' players are that we are supposed to have lost? As mentioned in numerous previous posts Ty Stock is current unavailable for non-cricket related reasons.

The only other player we lost was Kym Vivan and that was his decision from what I heard...I guess that will hurt a bit if he gets a ton against us but he doesnt seem to have played too many games this year so he may not be available...

by the way I have absolutely no idea who smasher is, or Borat, or Shortarmjab...

No worries Dud, look forward to catching up at the end of the season to discuss statistics if you like?
