Why would that help Nuri?
Wouldnt the side that finished 2nd in the ressies then come up? Lyndoch i think that was

dont think there is a rule covering that, it just makes sense if that was to happen that the ressies team would come up and Nuri would still go down.
All pie in the sky stuff anyway as South will be in 1's and will still have a crap wicket

why spend big bucks on a new pitch when the council has plans to build a whole new complex down the road to replace this ground,

They've been saying that for 10 years, enough is enough, it costs bugger all to put a slab of concrete down, it just takes some will from their committee to get it done

Mallala should also take note of this in their future planning and look at upgrading theirs. With their rate of development they may be in A1's within a year or two. Maybe even get a turf wicket at Mallala, would be great for the Adelaide plains region to have a turf wicket

Why 8ft pitch?
I would have thought the wider the pitch the more encouragement to bowl negatively wide and set field accordingly making for uneventful play

Still play within return creases, a wide is still a wide.. 8ft wide pitch isn't that wide really anyway..

If it is inside the return crease then correct no wide.
