Interesting affup. The old independent central days. that takes me back. Woodville, Wingfield, Port Districts, North Pines ...... so many memories. And who could forget my friends from Norwood.

I would dare say his name is Pidge. Plays Reverse Sweeps very well and scores runs freely. Good wicket taker too. ;)

The B grade is a bunch of work mates from India that play together. They just use our ground and that.

On a different subject its good to see the Western Knights who came up from Div 3 to Div 2 this year seem to be going pretty well. Is there anyone (Im looking at you Phantom Gossiper) with the inside story of Div 2 so far this year?

I think its great to see W.X1! Not overly suprised to see the results though, got a good bunch of players, Troy Chaplin (from Pt Power) is a quality bowler, also got Robbie Muir who has played plenty of cricket and is good bowler. Chris Muir dont forget a couple years ago knocked off a couple double tons and they have Eddie Vander-byl from Wingfield.

Throw in Subramanian the assoc keeper and pretty decent unit. They will be hard to beat.

Seaton lost heaps of players and Brame and Domanski big part of that side havent played much as have Betania (AC Blues) who had a clean out of negative players at the end of season eg terry potts. However AC have those decent blokes formerly from Marion C.O.C whose experience is invaluable.

Struggle to see Northern Wolves improving, Wally Hand injured himself during footy season, pretty certain had a recon on his shoulder, he was their main guy. Still decent bowling with buss and ross hand. Prob moved one grade too many?

One day games will sort teams out.

Hope i rambled on enough this time for you outsideedge since i know u love reading my "yap" ;)

Pretty sure just the two umpires left in Div 1, Col and George.

You would have thought Para Vista vs Fitzroy would have been given an umpire due to the rivalry between the teams.

You are thinking of Matthew Beazleigh, who left and played in Para Districts first at Eastern Park and now at Two Wells. Been trying to get him back, but we cannot compete financially with clubs in Para Districts.
And yes he did get Independent Central player of the year.
