You must have confused what i said i was talking about the team Wasleys in that part, i did get it wrong though Brahma Lodge dont play them.

Wasleys have gone down the grades gracefully where other clubs have cried poverty to the PDCA and asked to be dropped a couple of grades to be competitive and then end up being Grade 5 or 6 heroes or something similar.
I take my hat off to them, hopefully they can stick together and perhaps entice Trevillan back out and become competitive again. It must be hard shooing the livestock off the oval each Saturday to play a game of cricket and then get pumped, from all reports they are in good spirits.

Thats what im saying it would be fair for a team like wasley to be given a fair crack at a premiership like everyone else, i applaud them for going out each week. Its clear to everyone its not fair for playford to drop their grade 3 players to grade 8 but the PDCA dont seem to care going by all these reports of it happening before.

LM I know you have previously stuck up for the tribunal

but I hear from last night's appeal that a letter from the opposition captain, which wouldve cleared the player given 10 games from Eastern Park was not allowed to be tabled

The reason was something like, we would have to postpone as we would need to call everyone back

Also not sure how anyone that heard the original case can actually sit on the appeal :?:

Suprisingly the appeal was dismissed

I am sorry to say but the thought of an Australian marsuipal comes to mind about this type of process

I think comparing Playford's case and the Brahma Lodge case last year is a bit tough as the side was pulled out before the season started and the D Grade side that stayed in the one day comp didnt dominate - we simply couldnt get the numbers for 5 sides

I wasnt there last night, but from what i heard you arent far from the truth mate.

If the names i heard as to who were on the panel last night well................................................................... i cant really say any more or else it would be slander.

The whole process/results were a joke, i feel very sorry for the player in question. I dont think many others would have done anything different if they were in the same positon.

Would that be the same captain that has now been cleared to play in another association? The PDCA executives are VOLUNTEERS, why would they want to have to sit through the same evidence when they were stuck there til after 1am last week when they have jobs to attend the next morning.
Whether it was the right or wrong verdict, they collated all the relevant information and gave their findings in what they thought was in the best interest of the PDCA.
I have been given a fair run-down on the events that occured on the day from all three perspectives and they all seem pretty much in align with each other and it could have all been avoided.
The worst thing for me is that I find it totally out of character for some of those involved and honestly can't even picture such a thing happening.

You need to stop looking through rose coloured glasses. There were plenty of players on the day that should've handled things differently.

Agreed, keeping a one day side will cost you less in forfeits, and it was prior to the season starting.

explain how someone who gets hit and then kicked in the head gets the most games - even if he started it verbally - there is no justification

and then to refuse NEW information that wasnt presented at the first meeting

Put simply if it was to go to court it would be chucked out as there are several breeches in natural justice

Perhaps instead of having the exec do it they put out feelers for people who would sit on the tribunal

If someone raised there bat to symbolise they were going to belt my dad with it I don't think I'd be all that calm either. Don't get me wrong, I think "M" got harshly dealt with but he did himself no favours on the day or at the tribunal.

not sure that actually happened - may have been what was believed

Also probably unprofessional of exec members going around and talking about the incident after the tribunal as well i would think

OK, I'm not getting into this he said, she said crap. It was an unfortunate incident and hopefully justice can prevail somewhere along the line. We could go on all day about it.

If you are referring to Coxy, he wouldn't even remember what he may of been told the week before and would've only been an observer in the appeal hearing. I always thought there was a good relationship between Eastern Park and Playford............I guess not.
