and how is that match of the round, surely southerns (Top) v Port (5th) is or Adelaide (always finalists) v Uni (star studded) is match of the round before glenelg (YOUR team) and Kensys (bottom {at the moment}).

Adelaide v. Uni has to be the match of the round.
As a dedicated Stingray fan I'm rapt with the way we have started, but gotta admit, we haven't played any of the real contenders yet.

any reason for his retirement???
thats another kick in the guuts for ttg!!

He has arthritis in both knees and he is still recovering from his first innings of 85. He said he cant keep doing it and its not fair to the team that he will get to 15 or 20 and then have to slog because his knees shut up shop and he can hardly stand. HE will stay around the club and help out in anyway possible.

Yes a massive loss but our engllish recruit comes this week his name is Cobb and has hit hundreds in div 1 county and goes alright only a young lad and in the england underage squads

:( Sad to hear Ben Cameron has retired. Was looking very comfortable at State level a couple of season's ago before injuring his knee. Has been a fantastic player for the Bulls. Good to hear that he will be staying at the club. The question is - who will be the bulls new captain?

personally i dont think southerns and port wil be the match of the round, both have good young exciting players and both in a rebuilding stage. no offence to the stingrays but they have played east torrens and prospect, both teams which you would think will be on the bottom half of the table. look forward to seeing how all the teams go at full strength this week should be a cracker

the Redback's quick bowlers won't be playing, spinners unlikely and I would assume the batsmen would be a case by case basis. Klinger has been on the field a long time both batting and fielding so you would think that he would put his feet up for a while

Gotta agree after watching port v glenelg(M weeks lbw decision a shocker), port v ttg and port v Nth jets, All these games were very competitive, more so the limited overs matches. Some very good cricket by some young cricketers and in ports case with matty weeks showing the way the young player at port will only benefit from his leadership and his work with young players in all aspects of the game.

Seccafien 8/51 ????? Don't think so.
Looks like who ever entered the scores on-line might have copied the amount of maidens into the wickets.
The scoreboard shows he got 2 wickets only.
He should still go to the My Cricket website - customised for SACA. In the round highlights he has the best bowling figures for the year so far. He should print this page before they correct the mistake. :D

The Marion City council in their infinite wisdom put in a request to scarify the playing surface. Somebody at the club agreed so they went ahead with it. Luckily we were able to transfer the game beginning this weekend to Park 25 and will be right for the next game starting in 2 weeks

Councils would not know a good idea if it hit them in the face...

Adelaide CC should of talked to the curator about the idea...

Seeing as though we know more about turf...

It's just like last year at Glandore the council had the oval fertilised (on the only day we told them not to) and then checked the irrigation system, instead of doing it around the other way the lazy mugs...

the scarifing is normally done between the footbal and cricket seasons, not when the cricket season starts, bloody councils for you, they are hard to deal with.
