Picket fence??? Yeah, that's how I remember him. If you wanted someone to save a game or bat for the day, he is your man!!!Batted one game with him vs Salisbury West. We went from 1/10ish to 1/156 at lunch, I scored 116 out of the 140 odd partnership. He just did nothing and actually put me to sleep at the other end.

yeah you were smashing the ball every where even got dropped 3 or 4 times and easy catches. i think i made 35 that day even got a compliment from chaddy mac when i got out. You got from oz "hey mate why you go by a lottery ticket". But still awesome innings to watch from the other end. probably one of the best innings i have seen without the drop catches.

Haha, yeah remember that, was quite lucky but you make your own luck. Also had Sewell having a go at me after I tried a cut shot 3rd or 4th ball and missed, then next ball hit a cut shot for 4 and asked him if that was ok. Then had him on my back for the whole innings. That guy is a tool!!!!

no not correct, the very same thing happened again the next ball middle off the pitch 4 runs dead ball then batted another 3 overs and was caught behind with the ball lodged between the keepers legs. Very unlucky umpire was trevor wiggun?? hate that man so much ripped me big time. oh well wat can you do :D

Yeah sorry mate, that sounds more accurate, I must've been drunk that day.

He certainly is. Going back a few years ago he ripped us off severely against Salisbury West, I wrote a 3 page essay on his performance, inly to get him the following week. He was disastrous again and I wrote the most pleasant letter saying how much he had turned it around in the space of a week and gave him a huge wrap. Didn't get him for two years after that.
We have just learnt to shut up and go with his decisions and he doesn't go too bad.

I can remember when i was at rose & crown and we played sals west and had trevor umpiring us, he loved his LBW that day.. the first saturday i think a total of 18 wickets were lost and 12 or 13 must of been lbw.. Can you remember that oz? he should never be allowed to umpire again!!

Certainly remember that. I reckon we were bowled out for around 170 with 40 minutes to play and you blokes were something like 8 for 40 overnight.

I filled out one umpires report in my time as captain....it was that game and was not flattering for Trevor.

I have decided to go out to Gepps Cross and have a go out there and to play on turf which has a big appeal, been wanting to do it for a while and now is perfect time to do so.

Good move, i remember you always wanted to have a go at Turf. Suprised you didn't follow the others to Pooraka??

Won't be playing till after the christmas break so prob won't even play A's, see what happens. Might just squeeze a couple one dayers in for a bit of fun. Not sure who else Brahma has picked up, haven't talked cricket since playing footy there. I know Sibbs is still there, he is on a recruiting drive with Browny.

Hahaha, I remember that moment, could be the funniest and unluckiest thing I have ever seen. Ball hit the middle of the pitch (in between the mats) and was dispatched as should have been, but no dice. Unlucky Beaz, maybe next time.

I had a great laugh at that as well, very unlucky though, even the catch next ball was very disputable.

Did you play that game mate, I don't recall any discrepancy with the catch, we all felt sorry for him for the errors from the umpire. How are things shaping up out at PCC, any confirmed in's or out's?

Didn't Lowey catch the ball between his legs, to which no one could see whether it hit the ground or not including the umpires, he was only given out after Lowey claimed the catch.

yeah i came in at number 6 i think at the end of the day, only hit about 10 got out going to the slog of raad's bowling.

At Playford this year theres no CONFIRMED in's but a few very talented cricketers have said they will definately be playing for us this year but will wait and see if they turn up.
