awesome win by the parkers today, we won the toss and batted first, with in a matter of minutes we were 2 for nothing and then 5 for 16, thanks to a good partnership from jonty and bolts we managed to get to 9 for 132 of our 40 overs.

then the lads bowled extremly well and we had the units 8 for 80 odd, they had a solid partnership which got them to around 110 and we managed to finally win the game and regain top spot on the ladder. Frankie Mac the pick of the bowlers with a 4 for.

Game was played in great spirit and both teams will take positive aspects out of the game.

Rumour has it in grade 1 smithfield were bowled out for 40 something against Parafield Gardens today.

Lodge B grade also got up over Craigmore by 13 runs. Guess the matting wasnt the difference after all SF and papas?

Masha never said the matting was the difference between the 2 sides. Brahma are a consistent side and prove too good on the day again today by all reports.
I have been told games was played on good spirits by both sides and no arrogance either.

Was only s*** stirring mate, I only vaguely remember someone from craigmore (either you or Papas) saying something about the matting, and it will be different next time at Craigmore.

Another good week for the Black n Golds with all 5 teams winning. Great effort from the A's and B's, beating their highly fancied opponents. The E grade put the Playford questionmark to bed by smashing over 400 in 38 overs. They did play with 8 though.

Really proud of all our teams today, our "dad's army" B grade have been doing the club proud all year. a few younger faces today which is good to see. Well done to Mark Weaving leading the side and again showing the way with the bat.

Geez must have been a postage stamp in the E grade if Executive member can hit 6x 6's!!!! 40 6's for the match is a fair effort!!

It seems Super is doing a great job, how are the kids going? Good to see Frankie back in the A's, just needs to learn that every ball doesn't need to go over the fence.

Frank only hit 19 today but it included many leaves and he batted for a fair few overs, his attitude was very impressive.

Other young ins-

Mozza- hasnt had alot to do with the bat but has bowled extremley well in the one dayers both taking wickers and keeping runs down.

DJ-if his not hitting runs his chipping in with wickets, now has 20 wickets for the year and averages around 20 with the bat

Nugget- has been superb this year has hit 3 50's without going on to make a big ton, hopefully he changes that in the two dayers would be averaging around 30-40 with the bat.

Binga- Binga is binga, isnt taking as many wickets as he would like but is keeping one end tight.

Ian W- Superstar when he doesnt need to go to the toilet.

Story of my life F2F... 39 hey...******* filthy just quietly...then i think of who it is against and it lifts me up...should be a cracking game and deserves a sunny 22 degree day...

we dont play at 'the Oval' mate... it doesnt peak at 22 degrees here 35, slightly overcast running into a gentle breeze thats blowing from mid-on to 1st slip is what we like here

yeh right duckie... maybe 35 is alright for u guys who trundle in off a couple paces n only get a couple overs... but when ya have a decent run up 35 is pushin it. id prefer 30 with a nice breeze. n i dont like running into the breeze neither.

n actually if the breeze is goin from mid-on to first slip, care to explain how u wud be running into it?

thats why ur gettin picked in the Cs mate. coz u cant be expecting kurt to run fineleg2fineleg. he will either be dead after 10 overs, or 40 overs will take 6 hours to bowl. need someone who is a genuine fineleg to be able to do such a job down in the Cs... hence ur selection

Whats going on at Craigmore mate, hit a bit of a rough patch, is there a few players currently unavailable or a few out of form. Who would use be looking at bringing into the A Grade, while there is some very talented young lads in your b grade i dont think there were to many who could make an immediate impact in Div 2.

2 seasons in a row craigmore have done this. up until christmas they go well. afterwards it falls apart. gonna get worse when they lose to OTH in the next game . but seriously maybe craigmore needa be banned from havin too much christmas pudding during the festive season

runs were tough to get for us because brahma bowled in good areas and how far is the boundry? its huge...is that the size you use for all games? Or was it a game plan to not allow our hitters to play apart? Not starting any rumours its just that i dont see the point in having long boudaries when you have a choice....and i am not blaming that for our lose..we were out played but the real cricket starts now and we will still be confident in giving them a better run in a 2 day game..

Also after the game i was in the change room and had to think to myself is it the end of march...i could hear all the brahma boys singing there match winning song...do you guys do that after every win? There was alot of passion in the voices and it made me think you guys have played your grandfinal?

wow after all the pre game talk i was expecting plenty of excuses from catchit. amazes me that he hasnt offered an excuse as to why jimmy didnt get sibbick out. maybe he is still recovering from the devastation of it all... but i feel after this post there might be an excuse coming. watch this space

Far from devastated mate....9 out of 11 is still a handy record and going by the law of averages jim will get him next time, and the next time could possibly be in a final so i can live with that...Sibb batted like the champion he is and hit a boundary when needed ,otherwise he pushed them around knowing that was all that was needed to get them home...
Sibb might not get a premiership medal but he will have a mckenzie hanging from his neck....imagine the passion in there song after sibb collects his medal....poor browny will look like he downed a bottle of viagra
