On the contrary, i thought my best chance to extend my gap was to knock over the runs ASAP and collect 2 bonus points. Wasn't sure with the heat etc and an understrength lineup that we would post more than say 250.
Its hard to stay at the top though when Salisbury West get to play on that shoe box every other week and chew in points on usneed a big win against a very in form Virginia this week.

Thats weak lol. Besides from the last 4 games (inc yesterday) only one game is at home and that is against SW! So i think bigger boundaries the better

Or was it a game plan to not allow our hitters to play apart? Not starting any rumours its just that i dont see the point in having long boudaries when you have a choice....and i am not blaming that for our lose..we were out played but the real cricket starts now and we will still be confident in giving them a better run in a 2 day game..
Also after the game i was in the change room and had to think to myself is it the end of march...i could hear all the brahma boys singing there match winning song...do you guys do that after every win? There was alot of passion in the voices and it made me think you guys have played your grandfinal?

As for the singing of the club song, we have done it in the A grade all year. Every winning football game, you sing the club song, so why not cricket. Improves the culture of the club.

Perhaps you should re-read his post mate, don't think he was using it as an excuse

He said he wasn't using it as an excuse, then what was he conmenting on it for?? Brahmas ground is always big.
Also, singing the club song does improve moral at the club. After a hard earned win you should sing it loud and proud. You will find most cricket clubs do this.

Not to sure how u can call that an oval! So small....
Yesterday it was awesome to actually bowl to a team that batted properly! Even tho we lost, still was good to see the batsman play with a straight bat, and cover drive balls. Haven't seen much of that this year at all!

If a song lifts moral imagine what training would do...
Not a excuse...just a good tactic to push them out 10mtrs against a team with some good hitters in it...not saying they did..just a thought..both teams played on it but i feel brahma have more blokes who work the ball around than us in a oneday game..
Couldnt care as the reel cricket starts now anyway..
