Brahma Lodge will be hosting an internal 20 20 comp on Friday nights at brahma lodge. We have obtained sponsorship in which will supply extra portable light towers so lighting is not an issue.

There will be 3 teams which are planned to play each other twice and games are scheduled to be played every 3 weeks.

I'll advise exact dates later and encourage anyone to come out for a look at drink.

If all goes well then we may look at inviting other teams to compete in matches later in the season, or more so for next season.

Wont need the lights if I umpire as the games will be over very quickly ;)

interested to know is this PDCA internal or outside? i know a couple of sides in churches be keen... two reasons.. a) play against better opposititon and b) test themselves individually..

personally think this might also help close the gap between comps...;.

Yeah it was important to get bomber, but tbh he wasn't at his usual destructive best, which was lucky for us :)
Also Garys still enjoying his cricket and even though he stepped down from captaincy this year hes still a very important player for us.

We used our get out of jail free card on the weekend, after being 2/44 overnight chasing 119, we found ourselves 6/63, this was including our overnight not out batsman failing to show up.
We then cruised over the line with a 7th wicket partnership of 61 from 7 overs, then the 8th wicket partnership was 64 to guide us to 211. Well done to the Riverside blokes for coming in for a beer both weeks, we kept playing until we seen the bar open and then called it a day.
We have 4 unavailable this week and will have to change nearly half of the side, we have some good juniors that done well in the B's, hopefully they can step up. It's going to be tough going for a few weeks, at this stage it doesn't look like we'll have everyone available until round 4 and that's ages away.
It was a good day for the club in general, 6 teams took the field for 6 wins, I can't recall us having a start like this for a very long time.

Wouldnt say easily unknown... Some smart batting in the AV lower order managed to get them closer than I would have liked.

20 20 Comp starts friday night at Brahma Lodge, if all goes well before Christmas then we may look at inviting other teams to play.

Lets get all the teething problems out the way first and then can look at making it a well run comp.
