Remember that one-day games conclude as soon as the team batting second reaches the required score. Even if the captains decide to keep playing for a few more balls/overs "just in case the scores don't add up", the match report sent through must only include details up until the time the score was actually reached.

Hey Auto - we got sprung for continuing to play after the match was over.

I blame the captains. ;)

That is a joke!

You should be able to play on after there is a result. We missed finals by 26 runs last season and this is the time where you can get those extra runs that potentially get you the bonus points to get over the line come seasons end.

no, you missed the finals because you played an un-registered player!, you also didn't win enough games during the regular season. Not having a crack, it's just true

however i do agree that you should be able to play on, eg if you bowl a team out cheaply and chase a small total while other teams bat their full 40 you are actually being penalised for having a blinder of a game, doesn't really make sense to me....

Good to see Pete Graham having a roll of the arm, will clean up in this league. Played against him when he played for the units, will prob win the bowling trophy for you Carey, and may even take out the league. 5 for's will be the norm.

Nah mate, the game is over, just like it would be if it was the last Innings of a two day game.

That's true, it's nice to have pace but need to put it on the spot otherwise you are no use to your team. I thought Pete was fairly accurate, didn't do alot with the ball, but put it on the mark most times? I do remember though, when he was bowling to me the 4th ball was generally his short one, which made it easier to plan my shot selection haha.
