They’ll struggle then I would’ve thought, showed at the end of last year when they all went home that they really missed them. No doubt they’ll fill the gaps but if they do look to recruit they will find it hard to get decent players, no one thats a regular A grade player would leave their club to go to uni

Not just Cossie either. They've got Steve Busbridge and Chris Duval both there. Pretty good off-field trio. Think they'd bring a few players back and retain their juniors better.

I wonder if a few of their regular players have been a little put off by getting shuffled around to accommodate these admittedly high quality overseas players. The ones who are there all the time, do full preseasons, drive the culture of the club etc are forced to play second fiddle at times.

This isn't based on any inside word or anything - just how I'd imagine it might be.

Without doubt anyone would be annoyed...…. It's amazing how a club an preach longevity, prestige, all that but can't field a side with at least 75% South Australia representation in there A grade. They've been around for 150 years only to have no one from SA in there top side. I know for a fact there are life members upset with this!!

Well what do ya know!

Obviously not based on on field performance. Maybe they imported the award like most of there A grade.

Over in the ATCA thread it says that Beaty will be playing in that comp next year, so that's another recruit they'll need!

Im sure they do plenty to promote the game which is great and should be rewarded.

But the award was obviously not based on on field performance. as this was the poorest year they have had as a club (end of season results wise) in a number of years.
