And just for those playing at home, Duck-Mann V JC after 16 overs might have paid.........

Should have plonked $50 on SW in grade 4 at the amended price of $3.50 like I thought about doing. Got the runs without further loss, Costanzo 96* when the skip declared. Both sides made a game of it and Westies got the outright points.

I didnt speak to him for 65 overs... he did try and make a comment, when I walked away from the crease with the bowler about to deliver, because mid-on was walking sideways but he kinda whispered to himself so I didnt bother responding

I was talking about the confusion over that caught behind.

I think the comment he was going to make might have been more to do with the fielder in question wandering around like that.

It would off been at least 45 balls easily, starting calling him Tavare. He ran himself out on leg byes turned for 2 when Papas was picking the ball up and you dont run on his arm. Was classic he laid on the ground short of his ground for about a minute while we celebrated his wicket.

now youve really got me confused  why would you do that??

ahh k. I did give 'the nod' straight away. the reaction from Watto (the other batsman) was classic "if he'd gotten any more bat on it he wouldve been caught at cover"

Hope he doesnt bat like that today in his 5 a side comp, a long way to drive for a duck but if he faces 45 balls his side wont win any games.

Yeah, we realised that pretty quickly. Was just the moment when the batsman stood there and you didn't raise the finger.

Would have been for sure. Although you had the chance to cheat earlier in the day, so if you were going to it would have started earlier.

Sounds good. Might also be a good chance to ask one or two of the guys who might be playing what their thoughts are on the whole thing too.

Smithfield broke the drought, 165 & 4/62 dec. def. OTH 101 & 6/95. We set OTH 125 off 15 for outright, we were hoping to set around 130 off 20 but we didn't getg off to the start we needed.
Virginia made around 270 odd to defeat the Gardens. A small glimmer of hope remains for us.

He most def would have gotten close if not more, he was out there for a good 26 overs including 10 from last week. Poor guy, it just looked so good from where i was because as i picked it up they were just starting the second and with him diving after the stumps were taken was even better, just laying there thinking have i really just made a 45+ ball duck

In the end, top 4 is very tight now, any of the teams can finish Top or 4th. Big game this week AV vs SW, loser prob finishes 4th.
