I dont reckon he's faced 45 balls all year.. I refuse to believe he faced that many in one innings!

He most def would have gotten close if not more, he was out there for a good 26 overs including 10 from last week. Poor guy, it just looked so good from where i was because as i picked it up they were just starting the second and with him diving after the stumps were taken was even better, just laying there thinking have i really just made a 45+ ball duck

Grade 2 game I think last year saw a guy start batting day 1, still not out end of day 2 on about 43*, mostly edges and leg glances. Funniest part was him asking with 2 overs left how many he needed to get 50. His side ended up about 140 runs short.

Sounds good. Might also be a good chance to ask one or two of the guys who might be playing what their thoughts are on the whole thing too.

ahh yes, was that the only wicket you ended up with? The batsman was even frustrated when he got off the oval saying "I was a long way forward" when I finished my stint I said to him "the only way that was not out is if it had gone between middle and off...."

Nah, I got another too. Captain took me off too early, the guy who replaced me ended up taking 9 for the game. Lol.

I love how every batsman thinks that being forward means they can't be given out LBW. No such rule exists that I've ever seen. But when you get hit on the ankle on the full right in front with the ball straightening down the line, it tends to be an easy decision to make. We've got a couple of blokes who tell me similar things when I've given them when they've been stone cold plumb.

Sorry mate, no good, Smitty won but didn't get the highest score, Raed was listed as a bowler, he took 9 wickets, I'm not sure on ant better yet and Stama scored less than Pete.

No need to kiss ass mate, blokes go to clubs for many other reasons rather than getting their ass kissed. But hey if that's what you guys think gets people over the line then that's fine with me. Keep doing what you're doing mate.

After the success of the Queensland Flood appeal "Bash4Cash" day we were asked by a lot of people if we could/would make the Bash4Cash an annual event.

I am happy to say that we have started organising a day for next season - aiming to be held on Sunday, November 20th, 2011.

I have sent emails to the ATCA, PDCA, C&CCA and B&L Cricket Associations asking for them to support the event and we are hoping that this can become an annual event and we can use the day to raise money for a different charity every year. The coming event will be raising money for the "Haemophilia Foundation of Australia" (HFA). I have already been in contact with the HFA, who are extremely happy to receive our support. http://www.haemophilia.org.au/

If you, your employer, or anyone you know, is interested in helping organise the day please PM me or email me at bash-4-cash@hotmail.com

Days like this could help change people lives so please lets gets this off the ground and show, yet again, what amateur sports can do for those in need!

yep i am thinkin it was more than 45 balls.... probly somewhere closer to 60 perhaps. n that run out... wow did that feel bad! i fully misjudged how close u were to the ball, thort it was a little more away from u than it was so i turned n came for the second. n about half way down i realised i was in trouble as the throw was on target. the dive was out of desperation, but in the end didnt really get close. layin there i didnt think about gettin a duck or the balls id faced... i just thort about the manner in which i had thrown away my innings. after being so patient to not chase anythin, or play anythin rash. and i honestly felt like nothin was really troubling me much with the bowling so it was kinda annoying that i threw it away so needlessly. n what made it worse was the incoming batsmen got a first baller aswell. :(

I got this old saying that once you get up to 12 balls zero runs you really start digging a hole for yourself that is very hard to get out of and if that 12 turns into 18 your team mates start falling in that hole as well....so with 60 dot balls the opposition just needs to kick the sand in and its game over...
