does depend on the situation

I seen Tim May get a standing ovation at Adelaide Oval after a hour an half plus at the crease for 0, the same game Jamie Siddons made 4 in about 2 hours and also got a standing ovation

well the first week we went in to bat, after scoring 45 n craigmore makin 138-6 dec, with 10 overs the bat at the end of the day. i know im no special batsmen n will probly only ever be good for the odd 30 down the order playin in the higher grades. but i asked my captain if i could open the bat considerin this year we havent had an opening batsman really hang around at all. so i made it my business to stay there for that ten overs, i really didnt care about runs. then on the second week of the game i just wanted to occupy the crease, spend time in the middle. the game was lost already and we wanted to try bat out the overs as this was somethin we have been unable to do in the B grade all season. so yeah there probably was balls there i could have scored off but i was just defending what was on the stumps n leaving what was outside the stumps. to craigmores credit there was no loose long hops that deserved to go the boundary

I still think you had opportunities to score runs but with a negative mindset you dug yourself into a hole like Catchit said.
I would of thought there were a few times you could of got of the mark but some of the running between wickets was not good with a few near misses. Non striker didnt help the situation with yes/no calls.

Not sure who Manbitesdog is but if its who I think it is then he used to throw some pretty decent arrows.
Anyway, it's all good mate, think Ive got the jist of whats going down. Was merely tempting you to elaborate in careless nature but good work you passed the test.
I'll make sure I stay tuned in 5 or 6 weeks time to 'observe' carefully what you have to say.

Browny... what is the team for next Sunday?

With the chance of playing at Adelaide Oval, maybe some people will come out the woodwork and maybe make one more Sunday appearance??

OZ, Catchit, looking in your direction.

Be disappointed if people who were a part of the side early on in the season missed out because people wanted to have the privilege of playing on Adelaide oval.

I also doubt most blokes would put their hand up to play in that situation unless the side was short handed for some reason.

Stuff that....will see if they win first
On a serious note it would be very unfair to drop blokes who put there hands up early on...i said from the start i wasnt interested and it still stands...sibb can vouch for this, that years ago we would only pick blokes who played the first couple unless we were short...and the same should apply..
I reckon i can speak for oz on this one to... oz is sick of the adelaide oval anyway ;)

No point delving into previous posts....and it's alright i already know the ammo you have ready for finals time. You just need to play the right club now otherwise you will be shooting blanks.

Wouldnt suprise me at all if an outright or two eventuates in the final two rounds in G1. It is quite often the case towards the latter end of the season as teams either roll over or an outright result is set up via a generous declaration etc.
