Probably since the Redbacks have been ordinary over the past couple of years the fringe players from other states probably feel like they'll get a better opportunity here, since there doesn't seem to be a lot of promoting of any young talent from SA (exception of Pope last year)?
Speaking of the Darwin comp, sad to hear that Waratah are likely to fold after this season after 63 years. Shame that this can happen and hopefully a lifeline comes from somewhere.
I see there are a couple of young lads from SA playing up there. Not a bad option instead of going to the UK.

Warratah just not going to field a First Grade team next season. Continuing in all other grades.

Shame though as Gardens Oval is a billiard table during the cricket season.

They include all U19 squad members that nominate as well as some random picks. Many will not play.

Ah ha - thanks for that. Still hope they can get their A Grade up and running again next year. You're right - Gardens is a great deck.

I see the ER games in the T20 comp have now been changed to mid-week to avoid clashing with all other games. Makes sense so the players in the ER can play for their home clubs as well which is a good thing.
