Funny how things go round, 36 years to the day next Saturday I was playing for Enfield and played my first game on Greenacres Reserve which was the home ground for Enfield A and B grade. This coming Saturday my son makes his cricket debut (albeit in average cricket) on the same oval. Hopefully he will do better than my 3rd ball duck :D

On behalf of NEKCC I would like to thank the Enfield Cricket Club Division 3 team for agreeing to change the round 3 fixture from a 2 dayer to a 1 dayer due to our inability to field a side for our B Grade last week

I still hope however that we end up smashing you on the cricket field haha but your cooperation is much appreciated!

wow spintwin...that was quite some effort there.

lets see how the one day comp goes first. next year may be a diff story with teams having some notice of it!! i think this year there have been a few logistical issues with grounds and teams. it will be an effort to administer in the short term i feel.....but as Bill Lawry would say, if its what the fans want, then why not.

i will always play 2-dayers in preference.

saying that most teams fail to bat for 65 overs is true, but not grounds for dismissal of the 2 day game. the overs are there, and perhaps if people are more resilient then they would complete 65 overs more often.
You stoopid f**k !

Fair effort by your A grade typewriter to comeback from 7 /130.
Fitzies A grade defeated Morialta by 20 odd runs. Morialta today making 199 in reply to Fitzies 220 from last week. With the A grade in a bit of trouble Bloody Bouncer put the violin away and rolled his arm over for a lazy 5 wickets for 15 runs. Fitzies B grade went down after having Brooklyn Park 5/50 chasing 178. Thats three losses from 3 games and if i had any hair left id pull it out. Fitzies C grade also won on first innings but fielded in the second while Enfield amassed 350 runs in their second dig. Lastly....F*** it was hot today..

Enfield B Grade posted 197 and had every reason to believe they had a chance until Lee Mills came to the crease.. The guy is ******* animal!!! Onion Laird bowled him some pies but even good balls were going a long way! In the end NEK B Grade got home by 7 wickets with 10 overs the spare.

why the f**k would a side that's 1/120 (having lost on 1st Innings) bat all day to post 350, & lose???
I would've thought declare at 180-200, then go for outright?
