Extractor, I think you will find it is Gilbert Valley's duties to get the scores up and I would say that they will receive a little fine. I don't think Sandy will be rushing to put the scores in and are probably glad the GV boys have been a little slack this week.

Talking about Sandy, they put on a great day on Sunday for the 1 day GF, the pitch was a treat and a good feel all round. Unfortunately we were beaten by the better team on the day and very well deserved winners. A little hiccup along the way but the main aim for us this year is the 2 day flag and we come up against a side this week that has played some really quality cricket over the past 5 or so games which the Ango boys are looking forward to the clash down at the dog track.

congrats to kapunda straight up.. gd lads. jimmy vandy top lad but left the score book at home. we then rolled sandy for 90, having them 6/20. then james had to drive to saddleworth to get a new ball to attempt outright. he bowled one over then went off the field to change his shoes. couldnt organise a root in a brothel.. shahinger 10 overs 4/10, j vater bowled sharp. jimmy didnt bowl an over in the 1st dig and boof only bowled a 3 or 4. a very settled side at the bulls and set for a big finals assualt. although belived boof and jimmy will both miss this wks game due to a wedding. think they will be fine tho.. only got the south lads...

My punting philosophy is based around the belief that "When you win, you dont lose" so you are on the right track...

No doubt JV was fined heavily after the game? Used to be Schooners. What is it now, Jugs, Pints or (god help me) Cruisers??

Yep Phantom, I have also heard that it is already arranged that the Gawler Council will put on a ticker tape parade from the top of Murray Street down to the Kingsford where the players will be given the key to the town. Rumours are that Liz and Phil will also be there to hand out MBE's to all of them. From there, they will head to a local chimney to paint it yellow and black - however just in case they cant find a chimney, they have arranged to climb up a Telstra mobile tower and will adorn the top with yellow and black crepe paper.....

Seriously Phantom, cant you come up with something better than the old "T-Shirts are already being printed" chestnut??

It may be more the truth that the banjoes have been delivered to the local music shop in Ango for restringing and re-tuning in preparation for the GF??

All banter aside, I can see this years A1's finals being super, super competetive and closely fought out. 6 sides vying for the top 4 spots, this weekends results will be interesting.

Perhaps PG hasn't realised that Kapunda are wearing Premiers shirts for this season already, after the one-day final. As for the two-dayers, that race is wide open. Long way to go yet. Am wondering if the faves of the last couple of years in Sandy and Nuri will even make it to the final 4.

Last time I played up at GV there was only Red Tins or Eagle Super on sale after the match...the price was right but the taste was not unfortunately. Maybe Sandy Creek feel their palates are a bit more refined...

The only time, and I mean only time, Red Tins are appropriate is when you've been working hard in the sun and are thirsty.
They're made for slamming down fast.

The only time Red Tins are acceptable is if the only other option is VB...
