Last time I played up at GV there was only Red Tins or Eagle Super on sale after the match...the price was right but the taste was not unfortunately. Maybe Sandy Creek feel their palates are a bit more refined...

Rumours going around are that they recently found 2 Boxes of West End XXX Export in Dick McInerney's shearing shed. Was good stuff in it's day - 4.9% alcohol, get you up to speed quicker (or that's what we believed). $4-62 for a 6 pack of Stubbies from the Rhynie Hotel in 1982. Talk about value for money!

These days however, you can't beat the Pale's.

Apologies there Bigbull, was under the impression it wasnt on, i thought i over heard a few of the boys saying there was a more important place to be after the game, i do agree its good to get together with the opposition after a game and have a bit of a chinwag.

absolutely nothing wrong with west end cans.. beer is beer.. and sorry we didnt have beers but when u have 5 pubs sponser u we try and have a beer there to support them rather then be tight asses and drink cheap stubbies.. also norm, its a competion known fact that the company of GV BULLS is top standard.. maybe u should have a look at the company of the sandy boys?? group hugs and team songs r all gd when winning, but the comradary soon disappears when ya getting a touch up...

Yeh I suppose u boys do stick together.. With 11 captains it's hard not to.. Never seen a team with so many people with so much to say and back none of it up. Sandy r screaming out for a decent skipper to take charge on and off the field

Hahaha. No worries. I'd rather have a team with a good bunch of blokes in it than a team full of dick heads.

I also heard that Bomber was the only guy to hang around and have a beer after Sandy played GC a couple of weeks ago at the dog track??

OK Norm, happy to have the record set straight. All good if the Sandy boys had a beer or three after the match......

All good to stand on top of the soap box now when you guys are traveling well but you were in the same boat a year or so ago players not rocking up the second week of games and not hanging around for drinks up at sandy aswell. Enjoy the time

It didn't matter that we lost. That's not the reason we didn't hang around.
