i'v been at paralowie for a long time now and yes R/R i agree in the higher grades of PDCA we didnt have a lot of success only winning div 3 flags but we also didnt have the side we do now in that era not saying we'd win a div1 flag now or anything just saying its a much better team now than what weve had in the past.
Some very handy cricketers have come from paralowie.. Carey Id be interested in you naming a few.. A long time ago didn't they have 6or 7 jnr sides!!! where did all them cricketers go??
yeah your right we had huge success in junr cricket then most of them left at least 6 or maybe even more went out to centrals for footy and quit cricket some moved on to other clubs etc etc weve had some great older players joel holmes, mark parkin, john seppard, clint blows, art o'brian, andrew quinlish and the list goes on then there is a core probably 10 to 12 of us that play every year the trouble with our club is were a football club that plays cricket and we never take it serious enough which i must say gets to me abit because weve got and had some great cricketers that with a little of work could win plenty more flags than what we have guess its an colture thing that is very hard to change

Yeah there are a few blokes that i have played cricket with that have come from or played jnr's at paralowie.. Most of them are more than handy cricketers. It would always come back to hurt you guys if as you put it are a footy club that plays cricket. Never helps losing guys to footy but i suppose that happens alot now because it's so close between the start and finishes of footy and cricket...

What are the chances of Paralowie (Mawson Lakes North) reintroducing juniors? I really believe unless Churches does something to introduce youngtsers into the competition then its only a matter of time(whether that 5 or 10 or 15 years) before we're all looking for a new comp.

I've known Shaun for nearly 20 years. As far as I'm aware he has never played grade cricket.

PS. Craig Kiel...from TTG ? He played grade cricket ? I remember him playing against Salisbury West's D grade many moons ago. He used to tell people how quick he was. Rated himself for a medium pacer. They had a keeper named Kriewoldt playing then too.

played a very short stint at nth districts mate along time ago C&D grade.

No real stand outs in our game.. We(CM B) hit 112 on a real slow field and Rose Park b's chased it down with 5 overs to spare.. Eddie Leanne batted well for his 27 and Walter Minne made a quick 24.. Kaine Elmendorp took 2 wickets opening

The Minne's still involved down at Central Mission? I can remember back in the 90's when I played church cricket, they were the heart and soul of Central Mission then.

Fitzroy B's were very competitive yesterday- bowled CM A's out for 180, made 130 in reply.
I failed as an opener too.... out in the 3rd over for 2.
All my failures with the bat this year have come as a result of keeping for 30+ overs, then opening...

Central Mission want to learn you are not suppose to talk when the bowler is running in to bowl.

No problem with sledging, but you have to be good at it, and be able to back it up. Coming from a couple of blokes who made no runs was just laughable.

Very good effort by the Roys B's, look forward to playing CM again.

As a batter you have the right to pull out before the ball is bowled if the fielders are talking... Why would you want to play them again.. Wasnt yesterday 2 loss's from 2 attempts..
