Would depend on who they are and what they could bring to the side.

Would also depend on your budget LM.
Sometimes it is better to stick with what you have got.

I have heard you have lost a few players including your skipper from the last couple of season, any truth to this rumour?

This is entirely my opinion, but quite frankly I can't believe that anyone gets paid anything at PDCA level. Unless you are playing top level atca or top level grade cricket you are not worth anything in currency.

However, If you are an accredited coach and employed for that purpose that is different, because you bring with you skills that should improve the whole club and so benefit everyone.

Where are the sponsorship dollars if you win a premiership? thats right, there are none. Right now the only value is that your club remains viable so lets be honest thats what payments are being made for.

I have played twenty odd years of club cricket with blokes who didnt need money to represent their club and they are as good as anyone playing today. I will never ever think its right to pay anyone anything to play at this level. Honestly the idea that better players at this level are some sort of a product worth money is laughable. The money getting thrown around is silly as well. I can save all my cider bottles over cricket season and earn as much as some of these "stars" do anyway.

club loyalty should be the most valued thing at this level, not small change.

Agreed... money doesn't buy loyalty.
With that... a slight deflection to the next topic!

i also agree, i know i dont play in your league but i have been playing for 25 years now (yes iam old) but what happened to the good old days of people playing for the sake of playing, i mean it used to be that you would want to play with your mates on saturday and have a beer after the game with the oppisition. if you want to get paid to play try going to district or other higher levels. that way you will leave the spots for people who actually want to play for right reasons.
you dont need to get paid for cricket to enjoy it ,,,, just my thoughts. take it or leave just enjoy it fellas. you to will be older soon so play hard now .

Got to be kidding surely?
For one of last years (better) batsman to be batting so far down there must be some quality up top!
If its the truth then i feel sorry for most of the bowlers in the comp.
