One team will miss out Who will it be.

Well its safe to say that NEK, Fitzroy, Para Vi$ta and Pawawowie will be there.
The only way an 8 team comp would work is if everyone plays each other twice during the season

Mr Auto

New A grade keeper and spin bowler are the only confirmed additions otherwise 4-5 blokes have expressed an interest in playing for Vista's but not sure if this is as a fill in or regulars. Still a bit early to tell we have not had a training session yet.

rumor has it this bloke may have played at a level that far exceeds us ;) be interesting to see if that unfolds..

Should strengthen our bowling attack come finals time- if we can get him qualified and we get there of course...

Does this person have a name?

If it becomes a reality ill be happy to drop his name but will wait until the odds of it happening are bit higher. If i dropped it now the only way I could get in more trouble with the any of the lads would be if i hid Rich's hair gel and "it's a styling" mirror while he was batting.

In regards to the 8 team div 1 that would require another umpire, and thats if George comes back after last years debacle.

Well that only makes 7 in div one As western XI will also stay in Div 2.

Maybe rose park or Morialta to drop out and leave it at 6 teams

Season looks very promising, the return to 40 degrees cut off, which will now be taken from the Friday night forecast.

Other points of note

* possibly 3 new teams, 2 for sure, North Pines and the return of Ross Smith, forget the other one.
* No to reducing one dayers from 40 over’s to 35.
* Possibility of a separate grade for one day games only. 6 teams interested.
* New improved website, suspensions will be listed and will be transparent to all clubs.

The Exec need to go thru all the nominations before than can decide. We will know at the next meeting.

I like the idea, if you can fit everyone in to play each other twice, once home and once away.

Good to see Ross Smith make a return and especially good about North Pines which would be another home game for the Fitzroy Paraloweans.

Beautiful if you don't mind skunned knees and balls rolling along then jumping up around your ears.

Quite a difference in standard between the two comps, North Pines i think would be quite competitive in our div 3 or 4

Ross Smith being back is really good, am interested to know how many players will return, how many are new and who is running the show out there.

I heard on the rumor mail most of their players went to Elders in the turf comp and are quite happy, also heard the former president is in jail in Alice Springs...

I think you will find North Pines is only sending one team over, to play in the division that is only going to play one day games.

Agreed that the season looks very promising - there was very little controversy at the AGM, indicating that most of us actually have much more similar views on everything than we may have previously thought. :D
