You can still view the top 10...just search by your club, click on 'runs' to change it to lowest score on top then click on 'include players from other participating organisations' and go to the last page...

Oh come on, you can't blame them for trying to get as many blokes to rock up as possible.

People rock up because every club has to purchase 5 tickets whether they use them or not - pretty good system in my opinion.

Surely most blokes know how many runs they have for the year and how far behind the leader they are so I dont think the leading run-scorer and wicket taker will surprise a lot of people come Presentation night...

Oh yes I bought 2 beers from nuri. They have them available straight away at there own clubrooms.

Good clash happening at the dog track between Ango and GC. GC won the toss and elected to bat and posted 180 with some big hitting from Willie Searle. Ango in reply are 4/75 so game is 50/50 I would say. After the 1st couple of clashes between these two sides this year anything was possible but thought that this game was definitely played in the right spirit, good honest rivalry between both sides without it boiling over to anything else.
A few Ango boys stayed back to enjoy a couple of beers and actually found themselves quite comfortable out on the deck. Also thumbs up with the afternoon tea's for the GC boys, done a very good job. Ango certainly taken this on board this year and I know a few other clubs have as well but should make it compulsory for all home sides to supply afternoon tea for two dayers.

I would have thought that was a bit harsh. In the top 10 run getters for the year and have made a 57. Oh well everyone is entitled to the opinion I suppose.

With 300 runs getting u in the top 10 run getters at this stage of the year mean that it's been a lean year for the batsman?? Or are the bowlers dominating this season??

BIGBULL wrote:congrats to kapunda straight up.. gd lads. jimmy vandy top lad but left the score book at home. we then rolled sandy for 90, having them 6/20. then james had to drive to saddleworth to get a new ball to attempt outright. he bowled one over then went off the field to change his shoes. couldnt organise a root in a brothel.. shahinger 10 overs 4/10, j vater bowled sharp. jimmy didnt bowl an over in the 1st dig and boof only bowled a 3 or 4. a very settled side at the bulls and set for a big finals assualt. although belived boof and jimmy will both miss this wks game due to a wedding. think they will be fine tho.. only got the south lads...

Underestimate south mate??? Think u lads will be ok though, Jimmy back should be enough to see u through... But we feel the same at panther park, things are going ok at the moment, bowled arguably the most inform batting line up out for 180, they have a great top 6 and numbers 8 to 11 can all hold a bat... Without burgess bowling and woodards only bowling 4 overs... Very nice. While I'm on it mccaferty is a class act and should be penciled into team of year.

4/73 not ideal but pretty handy blokes still to bat on one of the best outfields in the comp, hopefully 107 shouldnt be too difficult

few 2nd innings runs tho norm?? gotta get them when they count.. good call scud. caff has had a very solid yr with gloves and especially the bat. i c ben burgess took the easy option of sliding himself down the order to 7?? didnt wanna have nothing to do next wk? i think in those circumstances u need ya gd batsmen to be out there and taking control... maybe 4/73 could have been 2/80 if ben burgess manned up n went in?

Mate, the bloke can't do everything , he kept for 50+ overs and remember the bloke is on 1 leg. The guys that took the crease are all good batsmen but unfortunately got themselves out. Your call could be right but he may have got out as well and the team could be 6/60!!!

All valid points there UTP.. We just rate him extremely highly with the bat and know what he's capible off.. Everytime
He steps out to the middle against Gilbert valley we always know it's gonna take a good ball from a good bowler to dismiss him..

I don't disagree with u. All in saying is it has been a lean year for the batsman.

Couldn't agree more UTP....it's just a small thing in the scheme of things but I know players appreciate the effort when afternoon tea is put on by home teams. I do have 1 stipulation however...........as cricket is a summer sport, chocolate biscuits should be banned (unless they are tim tams that have been in the freezer)!!!
