Are you sure? He got all of the warnings in the same event. Didn't warrant a suspension IMO, I tried to smooth it over with Merlin, it wasn't a big deal.

Yeah i am sure mate...it obviously was a big deal to someone...got the info from russel so i am sure he would know..

He swore and alledgedly threw his bat, I didn't see the bat get thrown, I heard the swear word but told Merlin none of our players or spectators were offended by it.
Pete was sick as a dog when he came out to bat, he was under a lot of pressure as they were chasing a big score but they did get off to a reasonable start. He got given out LBW for 0 playing across the line and was frustrated with himself for trying to go the boundary so early in his innings. At no stage did he show dissent or dispute the decision nor did he direct any comments towards the umpire or opposition.
It is a bit disappointing for him to miss a semi final for it, I'm sure you guys don't mind though. I guess at the end of the day Merlin was just doing his job and he seen it fit to address the matter.
The Angle Vale lads put on a slab for us and the lovely Jane Pogas made sure we had something to eat before we left, they are a great bunch of blokes off the field and we had a good laugh with them.
The whole match was played in great spirits and Merlin umpired pretty well IMO, probably one caught behind that he missed was his only blemish for the whole 2 days.

Yes, it was pretty harsh, there was no carry on, just one word and none of us seen him throw a bat, the only reason we heard him swear was because he was in the clubhouse and it echoed.

Very harsh..but a rule is a rule i guess...if it was to be turned over it opens it up for anyones 3 strikes to be turned over..

wow i thought the odds in our game would be a lot closer with you LM, espcially considering they flogged us once in a two dayer and we only just beat them in a one dayer.

Are they basically the same team as last year? our semi final against them last season was a cracker. one of the best games of cricket I reckon I have ever played in. Could have gone either way right until the end. Pretty good bunch of guys as well.
