While on the topic of South Gawler, it has been brought to my attention that they are seriously looking to head back to the Para Districts comp next year...Anyone care to confirm or deny this juicy little rumour?

Haven't heard that from our side of the bypass, they'd probably start in Grade 3 unless someone wants to give up their Grade 2 spot.
I think we're looking at a new format in the next 18 months aswell, what's their B grade like?

Reckon they are 2nd or 3rd in the A2's
Went up a grade despite being flogged by Sandy's C grade side in the A3 GF last year.
South have a one day side in the A5's aswell.
Not sure about their juniors, they used to run a really good junior program but did hear they only have an U16 and U14 side this season.
You guys can have them LM

I'm sure they'd be accepted if they asked, I have good memories of South Gawler Oval and their bakery is the best in the state. I think the churches league is a concern, if they turn to shit I'd imagine most of the clubs would want to remain in the same comp, they're pretty well spread out though.

Surely having an ordinary year wouldn't be a reason to change comps?? They may just need to have a look at their cattle and try to recruit new players?

Maybe with the way they carry on, perhaps PDCA suits their type of style better??

Ha, seems like there's more carry on over in this comp than ours in the upper levels judging by what I read in here.

I assume that Smithfield vs Golden Grove a couple of years ago and the Playford CC incident last year have been forgotten obviously. Can't ever remember any fisticuffs (or bats being used) ever occuring on the field in the BLCA.

A couple of years ago? Try late 90's, Eastern Park/ Playford incident was Grade 3, plenty of penalties handed out in both instances.
Not a lot goes on in the top two grades, but yeah, I'll pay that.

Thats par for the course..........1 big score and 1 bag for the season is about all we can expect. Is training hard for footy I believe. With the number of footballers that have left GCFC, thinks he's a chance for CHB in the A's. Models himself on the Johnny Gastev style of game (but looks like Mark Zanotti). Turning circle like the Costa Concordia

He had just had a couple of pints after work on a Friday night and was heading to pick up some takeaway and head home...the Karma bus has well and truly gotten him after some trips home from away games of cricket over the years

Turning around is only for blokes who are going the wrong way to begin with...
