regardless of council error isn't it still the home clubs role to make sure the ground is suitable, fair disavantage for Districts when chasing, as for Cooper can bat, bout time he hit another ton was starting to think he was just a bowler

How many clubs get the roller out at A3 level on day 2?

My guess would be not many.

In the other game Goodwood got over the line outright against Hope Valley.

The bloke who copped it in the scone the other week got another one yesterday batting. At least he was wearing a lid this time

Although another bloke wore one in the chops because of stupidity fielding at bat pad with out a lid :?

Should be a cracker GF as the sides had a tie last time they met.

Any idea on the venue lads?

We Started late, everything was dry when gameplay started. If anything it disadvantaged us as we didn't get the best of the early morning pitch conditions. In the end no harm was done and we got the result we were after. Now we can look forward to one more week of cricket.

Believe in finals that the ground has to be rolled, lines re marked and so on, its up to the home club to organise. its in the bylaws. any ways done and dusted, still a good effort by the Lodge

They have until 9pm tonight, I'd expect most of them to get it sorted before then.

Browny, you would be complaing so bad if you were playing away from home and this happened to you.

Even though its the councils job to set the timers, this happened to Ingle Farm 2 years ago. They got punished for it, you didn't.

Not only should Port Districts have gone through, but they should have been promoted to A2 next year seeing as Goodwood are getting relegated even if they beat you.

If i was Port Districts I would be protesting.
The secret impresses no one. The trick you use it for is everything.

Please see below re a few administration issues that need to be addressed. I am seeking the help of all involved to deal with the following matters as outlined below.

1) Could all secretaries please make sure match day scores are rung through to the Sunday Mail by 7.00pm on 8206-2777 and match results entered online by Monday 9.00pm this will enable the ATCA to get the Grand Final draw out to all clubs by Tuesday morning.

2) Permits for Grand- Finals need to submitted to the ATCA office by close of business Tuesday 20 March. Please note permits granted for semi-finals are only valid for that game and permits for grand-finals need to be resubmitted.

3) The ATCA request that all clubs instruct your Curator to re-marked the creases for Sunday and wicket rolled if required

4) Last but not least. All clubs that earn the right to host semi or grand finals MUST GUARANTEE the ATCA that curators and equipment used to prepare wickets are available on Saturday and Sunday for pitch preparation if required due to inclement weather.

It seems the only guys complaining on here aren't actually from Ports, if any of you guys were actually at the game on sunday you would have seen that it had no effect on the outcome and the PD guys were humble in defeat and admitted that the better team had won on the day, no complaints about anything else at all.
Kudos to the PD guys IMO, didn't make a major issue out of something that could have been.
Real tough fought game and one that I really enjoyed. Also great to see them all come back to the clubrooms for a drink and a chat about cricket!
Well done lads!

the only issue was about 3 square metres at cover/mid wicket area about 15 metres from the pitch
so for those going off half cocked pull your heads in and worry about your own clubs unable to get to finals

The great man Luke Hosie prepares the pitch and as he knows most of the PD lads explained the situation, the Club will aslo be seeking an explanation from the council

PD are a credit for not sooking about a small area unlike those on here that werent evan at the oval

I thought it was the wicket that got watered not the oval...if it was only the oval, then although not great, it wouldnt matter a whole lot.
