Rumor has it Enfield stuck in the field all day and mission posted 107.. on Enfield high school i would have to say that puts them in the box seat..

Hey Miraculous care to share on the forum your views on the standard between churches and PDCA? Think some people would get a good laugh out of it ;)

Someone was telling my mate that Onion Laird? (think thats right) believes there isnt any difference between the comps and that churches might even be better going of the assoc game from last season?!? WTF!! This Laird got rocks in his head or something?

Half the churches sides would struggle in grade 3 PDCA IMHO

Who's ya mate? The only reason anything was said is because Onions housemate Fish plays Div 2 or 3 PDCA as an 'average' all-rounder and straight out assumes he would dominate div 1 Churches because his from PDCA which is totally outrageous!! Naive people hear 'churches' and straight out assume they are playing preachers with little skill. Couldnt be further from the truth IMO.

I have played in both comps and I would have to say that currenlty I believe PDCA is stronger, however if you turned back the clock some ten years ago the side I played in won about 6 div 1 flags in a row, and more teams/div. One of those Flags was againts Salisbury West. During that period i would say that Churches was certainly as good if not possibly a slighlty better comp. We will all never know? I think NEK would be competive in Div 1 not sure about others?

The phoned in scores are now available on the website.
Also, a reminder of the delegates meeting tomorrow night at 7:30pm at the Adelaide Lutheran clubrooms.

Ok, here it is. Central Mission vs Enfield. Central Mission posted a solid total of 106 at Enfield High School Saturday afternoon thanks to some late hitting from Glenn Simmons. The grass was roughly 9 inches long has not and will not be cut anytime this week. Even when the grass is cut 106 is a big chase.

Any tips. I dont think Ive come across anyone prepared to tip Enfield.

No offence but i think better batting line ups have struggled on that ground and Enfield has hardly set the world alight with scores this season, in fact they didnt even chase down 100 last year in the grand final...

We're in a new Season now. Central Mission minus Fred Jarret in bowling stocks due to Wicket Keeping duties. Enfield havent set the world alight no but as proven against a good bowling attack second innings last round they can form Partnerships and get runs on the board. They have a slightly different line up to last season aswell, Including 2 quality batters in Woolpenis and Uern. Martin Reynolds has just hit form as well. Central Mission will have to be at the top of there game, that is guarenteed. Enfield just have to carry the form gained in there last innings and carry it on to Saturdays innings which they are quitely confident they can do.

***ATTENTION ALL PROSPECTIVE REP PLAYERS***

This year's CUSA Cup draw was released yesterday and the first scheduled match is THIS SUNDAY WEEK on 13/12/2009 against Para Districts, at a venue yet to be announced.

Training also TBA for next week sometime. I suggest anyone who's interested get in contact with me (Mark Weinert) on 0437718576 as soon as possible to register their interest.

Training is open to EVERYONE, but I must stress that the BEST side will be picked for each match, with a view that most, if not all, representatives have an eye on the Sydney National Championships in Dec'10. 8) There will NOT be any 'rotation' policy aimed at giving every training attendee a match. ;)

The other 2 matches in the CUSA schedule will be on 17/1/10 (against ATCA) and on 14/2/2009 against ASCA. Once again, training for these matches TBA.

For the record, Association coaches are myself and Scott Morris; the Manager will (I think) be Walter Minne and the scorer Glenys Phillips. No doubt, Ian Amey will be taking an active interest in our representative matches.

Hopefully I'll have an update later today or sometime tomorrow about a training night and venue.

Please take this back to your Clubs if your Club trains tonight. I'm sure Ian will have already forwarded the announcement and schedule to Club delegates.

Let's get a solid mob together again like last year! This corresponding match against PDCA last year we won comprehensively, so they will be out for revenge. ;)

Cheers. 8)

If your short of bowlers Goatie let us know, i have four wickets this year, the most ive had since 1996 so im in peak bowling form. Will let the Roys lads know about assoc game/training tonite at training, youll prob get the usual suspects. Pidge would also like to declare publicly that he is in fact an allrounder and not just a bowler. Tho judging by the ease Cuz (i think it was) hit him into the jail last week he mite not even be a bowler.

Couldve been worse Pidge....i bowled a first ball full toss there one year (against Greenacres) and got smacked into the barbed wire where the ball did a coupla rounds, got chewed up big time then spewed back out in our direction. Had to use the ball that was one ball old and was chewed to bits. To make matters worse i opened the batting and got a duck.
