might want to be careful what you say about your "bunny" pidge. He might just be association skipper again and i'd hate to hear that you ran from fine leg to fine leg for 5 days in a row. Thats IF your good enough to get into that side!

If your short of bowlers Goatie let us know, i have four wickets this year, the most ive had since 1996 so im in peak bowling form. Will let the Roys lads know about assoc game/training tonite at training, youll prob get the usual suspects. Pidge would also like to declare publicly that he is in fact an allrounder and not just a bowler. Tho judging by the ease Cuz (i think it was) hit him into the jail last week he mite not even be a bowler.

Not one of my finest moments on the weekend. But it was a terrible ball and got what it deserved.

This year's CUSA Cup draw was released yesterday and the first scheduled match is THIS SUNDAY WEEK on 13/12/2009 against Para Districts, at a venue yet to be announced.

Training also TBA for next week sometime. I suggest anyone who's interested get in contact with me (Mark Weinert)[/b] on 0437718576 as soon as possible to register their interest.

Training is open to [b]EVERYONE, but I must stress that the BEST side will be picked for each match, with a view that most, if not all, representatives have an eye on the Sydney National Championships in Dec'10. There will NOT be any 'rotation' policy aimed at giving every training attendee a match.

The other 2 matches in the CUSA schedule will be on 17/1/10 (against ATCA) and on 14/2/2009 against ASCA. Once again, training for these matches TBA.

For the record, Association coaches are myself and Scott Morris; the Manager will (I think) be Walter Minne and the scorer Glenys Phillips. No doubt, Ian Amey will be taking an active interest in our representative matches.

Hopefully I'll have an update later today or sometime tomorrow about a training night and venue.

Please take this back to your Clubs if your Club trains tonight. I'm sure Ian will have already forwarded the announcement and schedule to Club delegates.

Let's get a solid mob together again like last year! This corresponding match against PDCA last year we won comprehensively, so they will be out for revenge.

I am 'naming' myself..?!?? Fair dinkum Auto.. I think it would refer to naming third parties... In any case, I know the site owner and he's a champ.

Enfield a grade posted there first win today. They chased down 106 without looking in doubt with Travis 'OX' Uern at the crease. They then rolled a dismal Central Mission for 47 in there second dig. Central Mission was very un-gracious most of the game. The irony that OX got Enfield across the line was just last season the Central Mission A grade labelled him a dud along side all his other c grade team mates at Para Vista.

Not sure if i want to laugh or cry.....Fitzies B grade won today minus Auto. The first game we win all year and its the first game Ive missed all year. But well done to the lads, it was an entertaining afternoon. And it was Toddles first win at the club in 2 and a half years...thats right 2 and a half years. Will be a few celebratory ales at the Royal Tonight.
Our A grade lost, and the C grade got quietly slaughtered with a few players out injured.

Para Vista A bowled out Fitzroy A for 124. The 'roys lost 6 wickets for only 15 runs after a solid start.

Hoeful ground out 68 for Fitzies, pick of the bowlers were Wiles 3/39, Marshall 3/25, Frick 2/20, Headland 2/10. All ten wickets fell to catches, some of which were spectacular grabs. Vista's fielding definately won the game for them.

A nice little birthday present for spin-twin and cuzzy.

I believe that BB was out twice to PV bowling on the day too

There used to be some sort of rule where as a team can ask for an extra 30 minutes play if an outright result is felt to be possible in a game. Is it still in the rule book?

I don't recall this rule being in effect. Unless you mean on the first day of a 2 day game?? Then I think there is something like that. Not sure of the actual wording or presence of the rule.
