Bowling looks good, bit of variation with the different types of bowlers. Think id have Loechel opening, Marshall at 3. Pistol and Holland at four and five. If Mills was available hed be strait in. Just my opinion tho.....Id be thinking wed be the underdog but we won last year so were definetly a chance to upset big brother. Good luck lads.

How about we move Loechel to open and drop Taylor. Move Pistol up to 4 and bring Domanski into the side...??

What is the benefit in that for both you and the side? Sounds like a pretty silly comment, the 1st half of the sentence was good..

Run water/drinks/messages... and other things that every other 12th man in the world does.... Sub Field giving bowlers a rest.. Your one dense man... Regardless of what the beneift may be atleast Im putting my hand up to do things other then actually playing.

So a team that is currently less than half a point (I think) off top spot in Div 1 doesn't deserve to have any players in the side?

Who said there are no Adel Luth players in the side Eck'?? :? ;)

At this stage, all Div 1 teams apart from Morialta will be represented, which is really pleasing to see. 8)

Team will be finalised tomorrow.

Sorry mate, im just guessing a side, Adel Luth havent really provided many reps over the past few years and i was more basing it on players who have played, players who have done well and players who i know have made themselves available..

So in answer to your question Eck', they sure do - it's just whether they choose to make themselves available or not.. ;) I would love to slot M.Borgas into this side, but I know he'd probably keel over from laughing too hard if I asked him.. In great form, the ol' fella. Good to see. Lot of time for Borgy as a bloke and cricketer. :D

I have finalised the side and will post the team up here once the leadership roles have been confirmed with the concerned players. I can confirm representation from 5 of the 6 Div 1 sides and 2 of the Div 2 sides, with 7 new faces to C&CCA representative cricket, which is just awesome. 8)

Just waiting to hear what time we start now.

so any room for N.Kraft?

sounds like it could be a stronger side than last year's CUSA team.

Borgy is probably still celebrating from making his 5000th run for ALCC on the weekend!

Doesn't surprise me Borgy has that many for your lads. Has been a gun for as long as I can remember. ;)

Righteo, we're a day ahead of schedule, but the leadership group has been finalised and those concerned advised, so here it is :

Shaun Holland (Captain) – Paralowie
Peter Atkins (Vice-Captain) – Northeastern Knights
Andrew Balding – Northeastern Knights
Adam Barnes – Paralowie
Marc Cossens – Para Vista
Paul Domanski - Seaton
Aaron Frith – Paralowie
Adam Gully – Enfield
David Placucci – Northeastern Knights
Matthew Stancl – Adelaide Lutheran
Brett Tarca (w/k) – Para Vista
Andrew Tyson – Fitzroy

Start time will be confirmed at the SAMCA meeting tonight, but I anticipate it will be either 9:30am or 10am, with selected players required at ATCO (aka Dauntsey Reserve) an hour before the start time. I'll ring all selected players tomorrow with this info.

Everyone is encouraged to come down and lend their support for the boys on Sunday. ;)

I can also confirm that training in preparation for the ATCA match on 17/1/10 will be held at the NEK training facility at Greenacres Reserve, Manoora St, Greenacres on Monday 4/1/10 and Monday 11/1/10 from 5pm onwards. All players interested in participating in the 2009/10 CUSA Cup are encourage to attend. Big thankyou to Peter Atkins and the NEKCC for offering their training facilities for Association training. 8)
