I used to play down at Albert Park but when they closed down I lost interest and even before that I wasnt to keen either, playing the same team every 3rd-4th week. IMHO 6-pack killed indoor, any body can play 6-pack, 8-a-side was much better. You had to be able to bat.

totally agree Bazza. Superleague indoor is great to watch/play but 6 pack is carp IMO aswell. I lost my interest because of that concept

bucky is good sint he??
he was a good out door cricketer aswell, could swing the ball heaps!

me and a few mates are starting a side up in next few weeks
I think one or two of them have played indoor before, I never have, but most of us have played outdoor for years!
is it hard to make the transition from outdoor to indoor??

hardest thing about it is the styles of batting! I personally struggle as i like to drive heaps, and work through the leg side, in indoor batting is more about bouncing it up into the net to give u the longest time possible to get down the other end. Bounce as many balls into the net. Good luck in your first year, you will enjoy it

I played for 14 years and it made me the cripple I am today. I reckon I've played about a thousand matches. When I was a teenager there were centres all over Adelaide including non ICA centres at Marleston, Hardys Road and a place called Lords. I've played superleague for Marleston, Camden, Windsor Gardens, Albert Park, Stepney and Reynella mostly in mixed league but a fair bit of B grade as well. I was a leg one maniac and now my knees are rooted.

Haven't played since 1997. Don't remember all of the games as I lost too many brain cells in the bars. 8)

Used to play superleague at Stepney in the early/mid 90's.

We had a pretty strong side in Wed div one (Save Ferris).
Cant remember much of the games, but the social side was fantastic. :partyman: :drinkers:

We were spending so much time there that it cost my mate his Fiance!
She fronted him in the bar one night and asked him to choose between Indoor and her. He (In the end wisely) chose indoor.

Talk about your all time backfires!
Whilst I initially felt sorry for her, time proved what a lucky escape it was for him.

Hey REB's, when did you play at Albert Park? I played in the 90's there for the KEG BUSTERS.
