The turf clubs will never feed District clubs. In a fantasy world it sounds great but unfortunately this is the real world

The commitment is less and the financial incentives greater at some clubs.
The problem, I think, lies in the development of juniors.
Some promising juniors are plain sick of the game by the time they get to seniors and quit the game all together.

Retention is the key and I guess that boils down to the mighty dollar. How clubs generate that money is the answer.
Do SACA create a development fund that is spent solely on the best junior lads not on imports or poaching seniors from other clubs.

Keep the Sunday games for the First Grade only.

The lower ranked Grade clubs and the higher ranked ATCA clubs could provide top-up players for the Sunday one-day comps if the players wished to play both.

Either way, the smaller player pool in the top comp will mean better cricket in the end and lessen the gap between our Grade comp and state level.

Under this scenario if youre not in the top 8 clubs and you have ambitions of playing state cricket you would need to move clubs. Nothing wrong with that imo

While we are revamping the grade setup, cut out D grade from the competitions, and instead of having 14's & 16's red/white, just go 13's,14's,15's,16's

Wheels have fallen off at Adelaide apparently, will be interesting AGM as lots of unhappy Members with all the off field stuff.

Shame really, as thought last year they may pinch the flag with their great young list with all local talent.

Nobes been replaced as captain before the season even starts! Had get together with 1st Grade group and he got a bit intoxicated and said lots of inappropriate stuff. Gone from captain to not playing this year, having a "year off".

Valente going to Port, good mates with Benton, plus good coin, was not enjoying himself at Adelaide last couple of years. Massive loss.

Reardon given up too, means Raph has to keep, plus he has taken back the captaincy which he wanted to give up as has young family now.

Payne gone to Adelaide Turf.

Rumour Glenelg confident of getting Cormack, this may now change with Nobes gone.

Pengelly's also not happy, but probably stay now also.

Going to very interesting AGM!!

Yes. In the early/mid 80's when TTG was admitted, Student Teachers was forced out of the district comp and went to ATCA in Div 3 I think. They won a premiership and were promoted to Div 2 where they were competitive but disbanded by late 80's. Of course, most of their young talent went to other district clubs which meant numbers were severely reduced. IIRC, they were admitted to the SACA comp in the mid sixties and had such notable players as John Halbert, John Donaldson, John Nash etc and won at least one premiership. They unfortunately went the same way as their highly successful football affiliate Adelaide College aka Teachers College, most of whose players went to Adelaide Uni F C.

Can't see Bailey Hann getting an "A" grade spot. PA could have wasted good money, but seem to have plenty.

Will be interesting as some of the committee came back to save the club, yet allegedly are now going to have arrows thrown at them at the AGM.
Not sure on the Glenelg link to Cormack, and one of the above mentioned players was told he was fat!
Interesting the Nobes scenario if true.

Good to hear Maxi. Was told only yesterday by someone very heavily involved at Adelaide. Would not be the first time Valente has changed his mind at last minute as Bays would know! Hope he is staying as been at Adelaide his whole career, funniest bloke in Grade cricket!

Always fun and drama at Adelaide (the Pakistan of grade cricket!) but despite all the histrionics they seem a pretty tight group
