Woodville perhaps?

Don't know if he is the smartest tool in the shed! That's about 4 clubs he has committed to now!

Heard he rang Matt Weaver to tell him he was leaving and Weaver spat it at him and hung up. Still think strong chance he will do what he did last year and back pedal and stay at TTG.

TTG lost Ben Hutchinson as well (moved to London), Evans retired, let Schwarz go to Uni last year, now Oakley, be light on for bowlers by the looks.

Think Oakley may have settled on West Torrens. If Spencer Johnson is fit (big if!!) and with Kamau would have the three quickest blokes in Grade cricket.

May have also picked up Blake MacDonald from ACT, batter from ACT come over with Hunt and on Emerging Redbacks, replacement batter for Kelvin (big shoes to fill though!).

West Torrens finally given up on their “home grown juniors” have they?
Capel, Johnson x2 and Drew seem to be the only ones that will be worth keeping around IMO

I know you are looking for a "bite" SD, so here you go! Still have majority of home grown talent in 1st Grade. Won Triple Premiership couple of years ago with 11 of the 12 from junior program.

Needed to find a senior batter to replace Kelvin to help Drewy. Have several 17/18 year olds who played 1st Grade last season, but they need experience around them, all in State squads. Carrington, Pointon, Crouch, etc will still get plenty of opportunities.

Doubt Isaac Johnson will play, focussing on footy with West. Warren Peters is previous Ray Sutton premiership captain who is probably the best "keeper" in the comp, did not make an error last year and has amazing hands. Will be better with the bat this year as after having a year off was rusty early but finished really well.

All looking as promising as can be heading into July!

Can NEN shed any light on the reasons behind the exodus.
Young lads not fitting in with the older crew?, condition of pitch?

Strange one I think. Maybe young blokes getting ahead of themselves?... parents pulling the strings?
The retirements were always on the cards....at some stage, the older guys careers were going to come to an end. Both Evans boys pulling the pin has been spoken about for a while and by the sound of it, its finally happened. Page - no logical reason other than self preservation and panic. Worden - Have heard 'Pushy Parents' and trying to get an easy First Grade game? Hutchinson - nothing to do with cricket, needs to live his life and is staying in the UK.
Apparently rumors about Oakley to WT are true? From what I have heard, an extremely selfish and deluded bloke and is 'well' ahead of himself in the scheme of things. One good season does not make a superstar - believing his own hype. Will come crashing down to earth at some stage I think.

Lots of people unhappy with his decision, was looked after really well and provided with a lot of opportunities looking from the outside.

Looking at the scores and some bits and pieces last season, Pitch is as good as it has been in the last decade. Good players still making runs up there and good bowlers taking wickets.....cant ask for much more from Jake Brown who does the wicket there I think.

Culture has been once of the strongest in the comp in recent history. Old fellas and young fellas integrated and has worked well together.

11 premierships in a decade says that things aren't that bad?

How did he end up at WT? Possibility of working with Harrity or has some mates there?
NEN - are one or both the Evans boys in the police force? Sensible in that they need to start thinking about their long term careers outside of cricket.

Wasn't Henley as flat as a pancake last year? Strange that a quick would want to go there

It used to be one of the fastest, bounciest decks too

The Western Eagles might have to juice up the track. Now, having a trio of FAST BOWLERS.

West Torrens has pulled off an off-season recruiting coup, luring grade cricket’s leading wicket-taker from Tea Tree Gully for the 2019/2020 season.

Tim Oakley, who snared 32 scalps for the Bulls this past season, signed with the Eagles last month.

The 21-year-old paceman, winner of a rookie contract with the Redbacks for the upcoming Sheffield Shield season, said switching clubs was a tough decision.

But he said it was the right move to help him further develop under the guidance of West Torrens coach Mark Harrity, who recorded 84 matches at first-class level in Australia and the UK.

Port gone from the women's competition, as expected. Going to enter teams in Adelaide Turf's comp and try to rebuild I assume.

So just 5 x 1st Grade teams left. Couple of extra clubs in the 2nd Grade competition.

I thought all grade clubs had to remove all of their teams from community associations to ensure of their funding from SACA or is this another exception?
