Oooh juicy

Was the coach playing? Or off-field?

Only report from Glandore was our coach, was sub fielding for four hours, and after the last of the disgraceful decisions (for both teams mind you), he waited till all players were off the ground and told them. Can't sub field for three weeks. He would have gone harder at them if he knew that was the penalty as he hates sub fielding!!

Heard Nick Fox was lucky, Sturt players were amazed he got off with reprimand. Reported for swearing after getting out leaving the ground, whole oval could hear the carry on.

Not sure what other players were reported, they were only two we heard of?

Any fall out from this?

Of the two umpires, I note Jamaldeen Shakoordeen has been appointed to the Glenelg Vs Port A-grade game this week while the other (Shane Roberts) has been relegated to the reverse fixture in the Bs.

They do the umpiring appointments one game in advance, so the appointments for this week were already done.

See what happens next game!!

And disagree with TC for once, JS is not a great umpire, had him couple of times this year and the players don't rate him at all, most of the 1st Grade umps are pretty good, but these two are not up to this level.

No Luke Robins for East Torrens. Injured?

They can't get their best team on the park. No Cranmer and Miller last week.

Couple of interesting finishes coming up

Glenelg need 60 odd off 12, one down vs Port. Shpuld get there.

Prospect need 130 off 15 v Adelaide. Miller in and motoring. Two down.

Looks like the one day semi finals will be:
Kensington vs Tea Tree Gully
Glenelg vs Sturt

If I've done my maths correctly anyway

75 Kensington
75 Glenelg
60 Sturt
60 Tea Tree Gully

45 University
45 West Torrens
45 Adelaide
37.5 East Torrens
30 Woodville
30 Northern Districts
22.5 Southern District
15 Port Adelaide
0 Prospect

U19s championship starts today.

Capel and Dall both got tons for us vs WA.

The NSW captain made 207 off 115 balls at Glandore. Included 17 sixes :o
Is a ridiculously small ground. Why do they bring the boundaries in so far? On one side there is 40m of grass beyond the boundary. Could extend the boundary and use the pitches nearest the club for the A Grade games so that it's reasonably central.

Interestingly Glandore is a similar width to Glenelg.....only the length of the straight boundary that it differs massively

This weekends matches will be interesting due to the weather.

By the weekend the weather may be ok, but think the rule is if one match starts on the Saturday, then the following day can not be turned into a one day game, have to play under two day rules, therefore setting it up for the team batting first to make a game of it (unless they get rolled quickly!).

In my opinion would be better for everyone if they just made them one day games on Sunday, but doubt that will happen.

Should be ok

The weather is good enough today and Wednesday that curators should be able to prepare their wickets then seal them under cover Thursday & Friday

Is a frustrating rule though. Almost impossible to get 10 wickets in a one dayer. You'd want to be chasing.

One new recruit supposedly copping some grief from his club for not bowling. Club sorted out flights, accommodation etc and thought they were getting an allrounder. Player says sorry he's too sore to bowl.

Not sure of the club. Caught the tail end of some chatter about it 'out the back' at the test match. I assumed Prospect
