Draw is out on my cricket with what appears to be a glitch or two. Looks like No cricket between 17th December and 19th January for 2nd - 4th grade. Even longer for clubs that have the bye those rounds.

I have no information regarding that but would hope so. Too long to be having off in peak cricket season otherwise.

MyCricket doesn’t seem to be working for me but last i heard the T20 comp was going to run during that period so fixture will be separate as they are a stand alone comp (like the A grade T20s)

Any updates on Adelaide? Spoke to a parent earlier this week who didn’t have any nice things to say.

Heard Nobes has come crawling back, apologised to everyone for what he said about his team mates. Still don't think there will be much respect for him there at the end of the day.

I see the Junior cricket coordinator has stepped up to the senior cricket operations role, club Legend Warren Smith taking a well deserved break with 5 years nonstop service to get the club back on its feet. Can you award a person 2 life memberships as Bugsy deserves it.

Disapointing situation really, this new management structure looks good on paper but still presents some issues in practice.

Every club would have a disgruntled parent nothing new here. If you look at Adelaides seniors they are mainly home grown talent which says a lot about their junior structure.

What’s the new management / coaching structure you speak of? I can see Payne and van kempen still on the website, so you know inside info?

Must be good functionality, 6 weeks out from rd 1 and website not updated.

Uni have been disgraceful this off season, recruiting so many under 18 players. They should have to pay $5-10k clearance fee for all of them. Any club wanting under 18 players should be in the same boat. Cough up the cash or wait until they are 19.

Coaching structure is fine, its the off field set up that doesn't appear to be working. With most of those that worked through the difficult times early this decade not involved anymore it is going to take a new batch of volunteers to get things right.

Like the thought process around this idea. Would make a lot of sense as then either the family or club pays the money!! the SANFL has a similar structure for out of zone players I'm lead to believe?

Doesn't look good for before Christmas at Perti, the pitch is a disgrace.

Heard may be unavailability at Henley early in season too. Got a council grant to raise the centre square which will help the water drain off when get a deluge. Will help footy club too. We never seem to lose much playing time there anyway, but apparently Trent Kelly says its required. Said we may need to move our first game or two from home.

Wasn't the SACA Groundsman package supposed to take care of this? E.g. cover the square when a downpour is to occur?

Unsure on this - but when you think about the foot traffic that the oval has during the winter its obvious too see why it is a bog at this time of the year most years!

3 of the most used ovals in the state would TTG, Modbury and GG considering they all have 4 senior sides and a ton on juniors!

All do have 2 ovals now though, Modbury have a Sporting Club that manage foot traffic of the oval and its looking a lot better for it. GG had some issues with the Council i think as their oval doesn't have a blade of grass on it atm. TTGFC i dont think do any oval management which is a shame as a few years ago they did it really well.
