Wow.. granted it's been a while since I've played there but would've have thought it was suitable to play grade cricket on?

Was pretty ordinary from memory - pitch and ground alike.

Think matting is only a few years old (TTG replaced IIRC). Drove past the other day and oval looked ok. After christmas when its baked is another story though. :D

Google Earth looks like it's permanent matting.

Yeah, my recollections were like most school ovals, all good until the Christmas break when they get bugger all water.

The following week they play at Lockleys North Primary, a far cry from Sunday's game @ Col. Waite.

Yeah watched a few games there last season with my son and walked away thinking why would people play district cricket on that as your home ground, def stuck down matting and really rough outfield.

A worry so early in the season for a one-dayer at home. Hope they can get enough players together or it could be a long season for the Jets. Not good for Premier Cricket or their club, but hopefully just a one-off.

Nice write up for Uni in the Advertiser this morning!

Few club people may have been choking on their cornflakes re their recruiting spree.

Still, not really any other way for them to get players.

Tough day at the office for the Southern Districts 3rd Grade. All out for 14, Glenelg got the runs in 2 overs. Shortest game ever!

I see the new era at Pro$$$pect got off to a good start.
4 losses.

Hope the Pirates haven't wasted their treasure chest or the ship might sink quickly.

Are the Jets going to pull the pin on the D grade for the whole season?

Surely not

Their juniors are quite strong now aren't they? You'd hope that their better Under 16s could rotate up through the 3rds and 4ths. Flesh out numbers a bit and give them a bit of experience.

Interesting that a PC Club Coach and captain is a batting coach at a rival club :-?
Will make for an interesting warm up when both teams play each other

Assuming that you’re talking about Cozzie?

Blokes gotta do what he’s gotta do to make a living.

Which club is he batting coaching at?

The two clubs involved obviously don't have a problem with it.

Assuming the Jets know!

They might just be ahead of their time by forfeiting the D Grade for the whole season, everyone else should follow suit

Another ton to Rouse from NDCC. Looks like they've got a good one there. Two wins from two!
